One of the essential Miyazaki films. Kid oriented "growing up" storyline and parallels to the world like nature and war and humanity, which basically, combined with the enchanting and beautiful animation makes it a great watch for everyone not just children.

A masterpiece of a movie! I wouldn't expect any differently from Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Wonderful story and animation. I purchased this in store, a bit tricky to find, but otherwise no complaints. Good price, and in good shape.

Purchased as a gift for my son who enjoys anime. We have visited Studio Ghibli and his favorite anime director is hayao miyazaki so this meant something to him. Great for all ages.

Fans of Hayao Miyazaki will want this blu-ray transfer as it is an excellent imaginative story with beautiful scenery of a fantastic steam punk world. Disney has done an excellent job porting this over and providing optimal visual and sound.

They just do very little wrong. The english voice acting feels a loittle stiff at times but the story is so unique and wonderful you warm up to it all very quickly. Fantastic story and amazing imagery make all of these movies classics.

To sum it up I thought it was fantastic. Kept my attention throughout the entire movie and kept me guessing. It also taught a good life lesson as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get sucked into a cute movie!

Admittedly, I can't watch Miyazaki films with the English dubbing. Even though they bring in name-brand Hollywood actors, something is just off. But thankfully, Disney allows you to show off the English voices, turn on the Japanese ones, and read English subtitles.

Hayao Miyazaki never fails to deliver an animated film that is so different then anything the American animation studios do. This is my favorite of all his films. It is an epic animated film. To see it is to never forget it.

The movie overall is a great one for families. My son is 10 months old and actually sat still for this movie. Not that I encourage little ones to watch a movies or television in general, but we were surprised he enjoyed the film. One of Miyazaki's best films!

Castle in the sky is my favorite ghibli film, and had to get this nice steelbook. Much better case for a collection compared to the Disney blu ray release.

A very solid anime film about a quest to find an ancient flying city. very cool with some of the best animations from studio ghibli. I already owned the dvd edition of this and bought this to replace it. 100% worth it.

Great movie, one of Miyazaki's best with very nice animation. I own the regular blu-ray but wanted the steel book which is a nice addition.

This film is one of Studio Ghibli flagship creations, with story, characters and gallery level gorgeous art. What a feast to be enjoyed frequently, rather than being a film that you simply forgot and rewatched!

Castle in the Sky is one of my favorite movies. It is beyond amazing. But I was really sad that it didn't have a slip cover. Studio Ghibli has amazing artwork and it shows the slip cover on the BestBuy website. :/

This is such a beautiful story. Exciting too, will plenty of action to compliment the deep story telling and character development. If you have not watched this movie, you must. Blu-ray quality is an added plus :)

We have watched most of the Studio Ghibli movies, and so far this is the best one according to my kids. They put this ahead of Princes Mononoke, Spirited Away, Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, etc...

I once owned this classic but lost it in a hard drive crash. I wanted to be sure my grandkids had the opportunity to see and enjoy it, so ordered a new one.
