I’ve seen this movie many times as a child, so getting to see it on blu-ray as an adult is amazing. It tells the story of a young boy and girl that go an exciting adventure against flying pirates, in an attempt to find the castle in the sky.

This was the first film by the renowned Studio Ghibli that I ever saw, and I've been wanting to pick it up on Blu Ray for a while now. I'm glad to report that the quality is stunning and I have no complaints whatsoever. It looks amazing on my television and this is a film that holds nothing but joy for me every time I view it.

A very fantastical movie, great voice work for its time. The movie is in DTS HD 2.O channel in English but surprisingly in 5.1 Dolby Digital in English as well. This is on the Bluray mind you I didn't check the DVD.

This has become my girls (7 & 9) favorite new movie. I introduced them to Totoro a couple years ago, and they have been hooked since. Just have to be careful with some of the more serious themes in Ghibli movies that might be a little much for younger viewers, but this one was no problem for my just-turned-seven year old.

This film is easily one of my favorites from Ghibli. I love the world that Miyazaki has created. The characters Sheeta and Pazu are very charismatic. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it yet!

Th characters interact in a natural way, and they get well fleshed out. The visuals are incredible and the music out of this world. There's a plot twist i that could be obvious if you're paying attention, but it still works well

one of the best films from studio ghibli. love the soundtrack. amazing film, nice to have in my collection only in steelbook! hope the studio continues the tradition of making wonderful japanese animation. im a fan for life!

Hayao Miyazaki is a true master of animation. I highly recommend any of his movies. Totoro is my favorite, but Castle In the Sky is a wonderful film as well. My son fell in love with these movies as a kid and I started watching them with him and was amazed by how well they were done. His favorite is Spirited Away.

My wife being from Japan, I really wanted to give her a great gift that would give her a feeling of being home, she has seen all these while growing up. The look of joy on her face when she opened the package really was amazing. They are also great morally sound cartoons for kids!

Castle in the Sky is at the very top of the list of my favorite Ghibli films—partially because of nostalgia, but mostly because it's just that good. It still holds up today! This Blu-ray really does justice to such an amazing movie

One of Studio Ghibli's best. A classic in every way. The transfer is amazing and the steelbook is beautiful. Trying to collect all the steelbooks. They will look amazing together on my shelf.

Great release - would be made better by the inclusion of a digital copy, but otherwise, this series of Steelbooks is the most beautiful incarnation yet! Will be purchasing all these Steelbook Ghibli titles.

If you've never watched a Ghibli film, start with Spirited Away, then watch this one. Spirited Away (imho) has a slightly more interesting plot than this Castle in the Sky, but I'd still put Castle in the Sky as one of the 10 best animated films ever made. Well worth owning.

Castle in the Sky, while not as cutting edge as Spirited Away, shows the solid story and artwork of Studio Ghibli. The dialog was not hacked to pieces as was the re-issue of Kiki's Delivery Servce. Stil la great film to pick up if you missed the previous release.

We had seen Howell's Moving Castle, and Castle in the Sky is equally inventive, equally adult and interesting. It's an amazing movie--far better than most being produced today. The Blu-Ray version was clear with brilliant color--a joy to watch.

A fun flying adventure by two youngsters allied with good-nature pirates against really bad and greedy characters. An enchanting mix of young love and high adventure in a beautiful world not really here and yet not really there. For both viewers young and not so young.

I've loved this movie since I was a kid. I'm really glad they re-released them on blu-ray. My fiance misses the original English version (before Disney cut out a lot of the dialog), but was still happy with the Japanese edition. It's a must watch.

A powerful anime movie. A classic anime movie and a must watch for any anime fan. I love this movie and please support anime in the west. Anime should be treated anime with respect.

This is my all-time favorite Miyazaki movie. It is captivating all the way through. Great character developments and fascinating storyline. I would recommend this as one of the must-see Miyazaki movies alongside Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.

One of the best animated family films of all time. The animation is well done, and the story is engaging and compelling. A wonderful fantasy that will bring out the child in anyone. English dub mostly good, but it pales in comparison to the original language version.
