  • Best Print I've Seen (35mm)

    In the absence of a credible blu ray release (there is one out there but it's taken from a 4:30 16mm print and badly cropped), I've been looking for a clean print of this on DVD for years. Every DVD I had found up to now was taken from 16mm then VHS and as a result, blurry & faded. However, THIS version is taken from a clean 35mm print with bright colors and fine resolution! For the opening titles, the manufacturer swapped in titles from a blurry 16mm print - but I don't mind. That's only about a minute of runtime and the rest of the film is from 35mm and looks fantastic (windowboxed, not anamorphic). The price was right and quality was great. If you love '60s Gothic Euro-thrillers this one ought not be missing from your collection!

    While it's cool to have an old Christopher Lee movie, the quality of this movie is like an old drive-in theater movie. It's also somewhat corny, but again has the old drive-in feel to it. Even after using a $5 certificate, I paid too much for it! It isn't worth more than $3-$5.
