    It's a Category F5!!...w/ cut tracks.

Category F5 is Twista's first chance to do what he wants without suits pressuring him and the results are promising. However, the industry is still causing him problems as at least 4 great songs were left off the album and filler was thrown in at the last minute. The album starts with the Adrenaline Rush inspired "Misunderstood" which is a brooding, bass heavy track with air tight lyrics. Twista has tried starting all his albums like this but this is the most successful attempt thus far. "American Gangster" has a video and is a raw and hard song that should have any rap fan proud to get away from ring tone music. The album hits its first misstep on 3rd song "Fire" due to a verse by Lil Boosie, who sounds like a mentally handicapped munchkin. However, the song dedicated to a certain drug serves its purpose and the first two verses are great. "Talk to Me" is an old leaked track that is filling in for the wouldabeen smash hit "She Got It" ft. Bobby Valentino. Jim Jonsin charged too much for the track. The lyrics are deep and worth a listen however. Potential hits are "Yellow Light" and "Yo Body" which also has a video, featuring R. Kelly and Do or Die & Johnny P, respectively. The latter is sonically similar to street classic "Do U". "On Top" ft. Akon is a techno inspired party starter. "Jump Off" is a funky hit that rolls along with Twista's impeccable flow. I-tunes has the bonus "Alright" ft. Kanye West that was supposed to be on the album as well as the smooth "Read My Mind". Overall, after the cut tracks we are left with what could have been, which is an almost 5 star album. Nevertheless, if you are hungry for real rap this follows right in line with Eminem's Relapse and is certainly worth the purchase. Buy it at Best Buy for the bonus tracks but find a way to get the Itunes bonuses as well. Also, get "Problems" ft. Tech N9ne which was also cut. It is one of the more inspired songs recorded for the album. Once you get all the tracks you can reassemble the album into a 5 star classic. The material is there and Twista never fails to impress.

If your looking for a nice album to ride to twista's new category f5 is it. it has some songs you can just cruise to with your cutty buddie of friend, its enjoyable from start to finish. I think this is the better album of all because it seem like twista had more creative control so it's more him. i feel he should have album of the year no doubt.

When I bought this CD after only hearing the song "Wetter," I was expecting there to be only a few good songs on it. I was definitely wrong. This is probably the best Twista album that I own. It is good from beginning to end, and I think Twista is becoming a better artist with each new release. Get this album!

Free to create that hot block music on his own terms--and own label Twista reteams with The Legendary Traxter, and brings the heat! Worth the purchase without a doubt.
