Generic wannabe album stay away from this horrible

While this album aint no Blackening or Unto The Locust, this album satisfies to an extent. The good songs (theres a couple) are up to par to MH's catalog but the bad songs are really bad. Some of the bad ones are Supercharger bad.

If you are Machine Head fan you might be disappointed in this release. Heavy in parts, but also incorporating rap-metal, nu-metal and even a song that sounds like the Dropkick Murphy's! But I really like the CD!

Newest Machine Head offering is good but not best.

This is some good stuff. It is definitely Machine Head but it’s different and I know they received some flak for that but I love this record. It steps outside the boundaries a little and is a fun listen.

My grandson wanted this for Easter present, so he went in with me to make sure I took the right one being grandma and all LOL

Machine Head has always been one of my Favs. Amazing live! This album doesn't disappoint, just skip track 7 and all is well.

Took our grandson to bestbuy to get some cds he was wanting and he got this one

Good music nice digipack very heavystuff here.....

but unfortunately this is not the Machine Head that we have been used to with the last few albums. If you are a fan of The Burning Red/Supercharger era, then you will definitely enjoy Catharsis. I am all for bands changing and evolving but this is a step backwards in my opinion. I will always support MH but Catharsis just makes me listen to The Blackening, Locust and TTAOE albums.

The album is good and the inclusion of a live DVD makes it all the better.

Good cd, if you like machine head this is a must for the collection.

First half of this album is the machine head we all love, but takes a wierd turn at track 7

Sorry MH fans, but this is easily their worst album of their career. It’s not hard to imagine why Dave McClane and Phil Demmel quit after Robb Flynn turned MH into his solo project with this garbage. There are a couple decent songs, but not nearly enough to salvage it.

Awesome album! Would recommend it to any Rock N’ Roll fan!

Machine Head does it again, much heavier than last album.
