As a horror film person myself, this was one of the weaker anthology films I’ve seen. Creepshow is by far superior and Cats Eye really didn’t get good until the last story. My recommendation would be to rent or skip this one entirely.

I remember this being much better when I was a kid...don’t get me wrong it’s worthwhile but it just didn’t have the same impact. Paid under 10 bucks so that was a big plus
Picture and sound are very good but could use some cleaning up.

Good short story trilogy collection from Stephen King with a little bit of everything, all tied together through the eyes of a cat. Dark humor in "Quitters, Inc", suspense and small jump scares in "The Ledge", and an action based fight scene with a troll in "General". The first 2 are adaptations from King's Night Shift collection.
Several cameos by other Stephen King characters appear during the opening credits.

The Cat, It Knows

By far my favorite thing about this movie is that it strings together three different tales where the constant is the mysterious stray Cat, combining horror, supernatural, and comedy.
The last tale with an evil-troll and a young Drew Barrymore is by far the creepiest and most unsettling. And by then you come to know why the Cat, the mystery linking together these stories, is there - a protector of the young girl.

The third story is the best of the bunch. The others are very good too. Remember watching this, “Creepshow 1&2” and “Trilogy of Terror” as a kid. These films laid a great foundation for my love of horror/scary movies.

I enjoyed the stories being told on this dvd. The cat, General, basically guides you into three different stories. I liked the first story. It was creepy and had an unexpected ending. The second story was just okay. The third is by far the best. Drew Barrymore is always a joy to watch and I loved the cat being the hero and saving the day.

It’s a classic for those of us who are older. When this movie first came out it was scary back then. Stephen King was ahead of his time. Our 10 year old daughter likes watching these classics. It doesn’t scare her but she gets a kick out of how scary movies was made back then. Decent quality for a movie that was converted to blue ray.

Stephen King’s first filmed screenplay features adaptations of two short stories from his Night Shift collection – Quitter’s Inc. and The Ledge. The third story, General, is new. Over all it has a nice EC comics type edge to each vignette, not really scary but more comic. Blu-ray looks great!

Warner Brothers outdid themselves with the transfer on this one. Gorgeous and film like with a very high bitrate. The lossless 2.0 audio track also sounds wonderful when decoded with Dolby Pro Logic. Add to that a fun commentary by the director and you can't go wrong with this package if you're a fan

You don’t need blood and gore to scare you, you need to take everyday life and twist it. Your problems should be resolved but instead it is a worse case scenario. Enjoy these movies and think “ Can that really happen?”

I grew up catching this movie late at night on the USA network and the stories always stuck with me. Being a huge Stephen King fan, I love the portrayals of each of these stories and am excited to now have them on Bluray!
A must have if you're a King/Horror fan.

I decided to finally upgrade my dvd copy of this fun little movie.
The picture and sound quality are much better than the old dvd, and the Steelbook art is terrific.
Recommended to Stephen King and Drew Barrymore fans. :-)
