Cave Story is such a great game. With such a great art style and great difficulty I highly recommend this to anyone with a switch

after reading and watching videos about this I took a chance with member discount pricing and I have to say I don't regret it thinking back so yeah! looking for a random switch game this is good! side scrolling shooting kind of adventure/puzzler.

This game is a really neat little game. It's not perfect, and if you aren't a fan of indie games/2-D pixel art you won't love it, but I've played this game multiple times on my PC and now my switch, so it obviously is doing something right!

I'd had the pleasure of playing the original Cave Story on the PC and was overjoyed to find it was being ported for the Switch. It feels natural on the new controls and I've been having a blast replaying it. it lets you choose between classic graphics and revamped ones, as well as several different versions of the soundtrack. It also comes with a mini cd with some of the highlights from its masterfully composed soundtrack. A must have for metroidvania lovers!

I am so surprised how much this feels like a classic nes game, it's pretty cheap and it's really fun!

Daughter is having fun. I only played a bit so far myself. Seems like it will be fun, but save system is painful as you have to remember to back track to the save point every couple of minutes. If you forget to do this there are lots of things that can kill you very quickly and you have to re-do everything you did since the last save. You do pick up heart containers so hopefully after getting more of those this won't be as much of an issue. I haven't played it enough yet to recommend to a friend.

Fun retro style game with a fun story line. Frustrating at parts but overall, a fun game.

Perfect for the portable Nintendo Switch. Controls are spot on and it will keep you busy.

I've heard so many good things about this game and mostly they are true. The art and story are all interesting enough, however, I was not ready for how unforgiving this game can get. I actually got about 5 hours in and re-started on easy. It's a fun game but lacking some modern amenities that could have made it less annoying(an autosave feature before bosses for one). If you can get over a few minor quirks you'll find an enjoyable platformer in the Mertoid/castelvania vain.

I played the original years ago on my computer and greatly appreciated all the hard work and vision brought to life from one man as a multiple year labor of love. So you can imagine my excitement when they released a physical copy of this for the Nintendo Switch and let me tell you, being able to play this on the go is a true pleasure and gift. Go dive into the world of cave story.

CaveStory is a soild retro style 2D action platformer with plenty to keep you entertained. This is a great game to use the hybrid function of the switch as you can take it in little bites or a whole meal. I like the included goods in the box to help justify the cost for a years old game. As a plus they announced they are patching a old art and new art toggle for those who want the more pixel look.

Cave Story has been released multiple times by now, but the Switch version prevails over all. It's easiest the best version due to the new soundtrack, the ability to take anywhere and play, and the new animations. Get it now.

Awesome 2d Metroid style gameplay, goes perfect with the portability of the switch.

What a great game with fun music and they give you a mini disc soundtrack free with it. Also included an instruction booklet. Great buy and tons of fun.

It's a must buy for anyone who hasn't played it yet. The physical goodies inside make the cost of cartridge worth it, even if you decide to double dip.

Ive bought Cave Story at least 6 times across mutliple platforms. This game is one of my all time favorites. Do yourself a favor and play this game.
