    This is a good quality & affordable beginner's telescope. If you are a stargazer, keep in mind the moon & stars travel across the sky faster than we think. Expect to be continuously moving the telescope to keep an object in view. If you want to catch a child's interest, you might consider one with a computerized motor control.

    It is a little tricky getting the camera lined up. You may want to get a 3rd party camera app for your phone. Other than that it works great. Tri-pod is flimsy. Wasn't an issue for us, we just used our Manfrotto tripod.

    Great starter telescope for my 8 year old. Definitely lighter than anticipated. Construction is decent, but feels cheap- anxious to see what kind of images that we can get on a good night.
