Easy to install, works great. I was told it is only compatible with Century Link so I only wouldn't recommend it if you use another provider.

This modem has a great interface when getting it set up. It is easy to navigate and the instructions are sufficiently detailed that anyone can be up & running quickly. Doing the specialized programming inside the modem is more difficult & if you're not familiar with such programming I would not recommend you do it. But it works fine without all of the detailed part. Setting up the wireless is easy as well.

    CenturyLink - Modem/Wireless Router

Pleased with this modem/wireless router. I could not get my printer to work, w/the modem/wireless router that you pay a monthly leasing fee to Centurylink. I read reviews, & found that the modem/router Centurylink leases to you, are usually refurbished & not up to date. I found this to be true, after purchasing this Centurylink modem/wireless router. I now have a working printer again, & the speed is a bit faster on my computer. I now own, instead of leasing from Centurylink & am very satisfied, & can print again!

This CenturyLink Modem/Router proved to be easy and straightforward to set up with the well-illustrated instruction sheet. (I was somewhat apprehensive about this because of an excruciating experience getting a DSL modem/router set up back in 2007.) Even though our house is a challenge for wifi due to a rambling layout and plaster walls with metal mesh in them, we get good signal strength throughout the interior and usable signal strength outside as well. With my previous router, I had to use a signal booster to do as well.

Let me start by stating that I spent less than this for a cable modem with WAY more capability when I was able to use Cable for my Internet. Paying this price for 20yr old download capability is pretty ridiculous...however, there are some very nice and recent capabilities built into it as well. The setup was extremely simple and very well done for any level of user. I was able to get my Internet up and running and setup on the DSL line with wireless N covering my whole house in less than 10 minutes. Download speeds top out at the max for my area, which is GREAT. Wireless coverage is able to cover my whole house with at least 4/5 bars of strength. The only issue I have had with it is that when there is heavy downloading (saturating the <sigh> 1.5Mbps download), it will drop the wireless signal no matter where you are in the house. There are several places online that will help you to add a router and switch behind this modem, but be aware that it is not a simple process. This modem does not handle bridging well, as noted on multiple sites. If you want to be able to use more than 4 devices wired, be ready for a few calls to tech support and a couple days of fighting with the settings to make it work. All the negatives aside, this is still a very solid product in a market which doesn't use internet much, and the ease of setup can't be talked about enough.

So far, no complaints with the modem. (I wish I could say the same for the carrier) Set up was SUPER easy and it's been great. I stream music, movies, and run everything off wifi. It's great

This modem is really nice the fact that works is plenty enough for me. I had a regular modem from other company I'm not going to mention and I kept having my internet disappear I hated it specially when I played poker online. This item also has four expansion slots or Ethernet ports to expand plus of course wireless. Now everything is good to go, I recommend this item.

So far I have not experienced any issues yet with the router itself. I am having a hard time maintaining signal in another room but I can not determine if that is the router or the wireless device attached to my desktop. I have not had to restart the router or perform any troubleshooting. It was rather easy to install. Overall it has been a good router

This product is the exact same one used by CenturyLink and I was able to purchase it for $99 rather that pay $10/month under a 2-year contract. The product appears to work very well and I would certainly recommend it, as well as Best Buy. The only reason I was unable to give this product a 5-star review was due to the limited number of ports available.

Easy to set up-but use IE not Mozilla-otherwise the online set up won't appear. I no longer lose my connection every 2 minutes. Nice.

I'm not a fan of required or pushed products just because the company chose actiontec as their modem manufacturer. It was very easy to set up and has decent range in my basement but I will be looking at getting an extender or repeater since the signal upstairs is not as strong as I'd like

I purchased the unit since I am a CenturyLink subscriber and it was "blessed" as being the best for my service. Set-up was pretty straightforward with the on-line instructions getting me operational quickly. I have a two computer wireless network with a shared wireless printer and now have to reset the modem 2-3 times a week to restore full functionality (2nd computer loses internet access, printer can not be addressed, network locks up, etc.). Pretty disappointed.

This is the only modem/router that would work with CenturyLink as my internet provider, since it has a phone line connection.. I was able to follow the instructions and set it up fairly easily, but I had to call the CenturyLink help line in order to get the connection to work. The person instructing me did an excellent job.

The modem/router combo has 4 ports and is easy to setup and use. I no longer have to pay Century Link a monthly rental fee, and this will be paid off in a little over a year. It was very easy to setup and has idiot proof directions (as well as color coded ports). I recommend this to anyone who is currently renting a modem from Century Link.

I was having problems with my internet service at my house and the powers to be said it was my modem. I went to Best Buy, had great customer service and was given a choice of two products. The Century Link modem with wireless was just what I needed and it was very easy to install and it is working very well for me!

It worked so much better than the modem supplied to me (for a $10.00 fee) by Century Link. This one has never said I am not hooked up to the internet, whereas the Century Link modem was always showing I was not hooked up especially when I tried to use my laptop. Always had to move plugs to different port to connect, but since I bought this one, I have not had that issue one time. Would highly recommend this product to anyone, very easy to install. Thank you.

After renting the modem for a year, decided to buy one and pay for it out right. Installation is super easy. Just copy and paste the profile from the existing unit onto the new one. So far, it's been working just like the one provided by centurylink.

In my area my only choice for internet is CenturyLink so I bought a router instead of leasing one for $10 a month. It works ok most of the time but must be unplugged occasionally to get an internet connection. It reboots and all is well until next time.
