Given that this is based on true events, it was really upsetting to see how the main character (Jolie) is treated when she insists that the LAPD are trying to fob her off with a child who has been paid off to pretend to be her son (after her real son had been abducted). One woman against the establishment! Good ending (no spoilers here).

This movie ends up being 2 stories in one. I will not spoil it for anyone but the second half of the movie is when things get really interesting, and the fact that this is a true story makes it that much more enthralling. Clint Eastwood does a great job directing, as usual, and the acting is great from everyone.

This is one of the lesser known Angelina Jolie movies. I bought it for the price. It was nice surprise. Very sad movie indeed, specially knowing (at the end) that it is based on a true story. If you have kids, you will cry like crazy watching this movie.

This movie was so hard to find and obtain. Found it at Best Buy. Saved it for awhile. This is based on a true story. Love true story movies. So glad BEST BUY had it. Thank you. Happy New Year. Be safe.

Angelina Jolie gives a superb performance in this sometimes harrowing movie of a mother looking for her child. Directed by Clint Eastwood, the 1920's settings are brilliantly realized.

I had been wanting to see this movie for years, so I finally bought it. Seems Clint Eastwood can't make a bad movie, and this is a great adaptation of a haunting true story.

Angelina did a superb job directing and acting the leading role! I have seen the movie several times now and always discover something new each time I watch it.
