This product is probably the best value for comparable products on the market. It has the highest rated reception distance in its class for a mid-range antenna as well as captures the majority of UHF/VHF frequencies. Great reception up to about 70 miles in my area and easy to install while not too large. Was able to mount on my old Dish mast with ease after purchase of a longer post from Lowe’s. Quick shipping. Was not able to determine and was not in the description the angle/degree it covers but easily captures 70 to 90 degrees. Make sure to run a tv fool report for your area beforehand but great way to escape inflated pay for tv options!! Definitely a good purchase. Thanks Best Buy and manufacturer.

I was previously using an 8 foot long yagi style MXU-59 UHF only antenna in my attic to tune stations from over 50 miles away. The TV towers in this direction are spread 20 degrees apart and the yagi antenna was to directional so I decided to go with a flat panel style. I had also heard that the flat panel style is better at picking up weak signals. The signal strength is much better with the Channel Master 4228HD and it takes up a lot less room in the attic. I mounted it right up against a wall over my garage and it freed up a lot of space.

Replace an old antenna on 40 foot pole. Easy to install and set up. Picture is really clear and reception increased some. We are in a remote area and before only got 5 channels, not we get 12. Rain and windy weather did reduce reception slightly on the weaker signals, but that is more a function of where we are located.

I do antenna installs on the side. You will not find a better outdoor antenna than this. You may find cheaper but not better. What make this antenna stand out is its ability to pull in the high VHF band. Other brands only tune UHF. Pulls in channels up to 70 miles away. Simply the best!

We had very poor television signal reception and often could not watch the tube. This antenna greatly improved our reception. Delivery was very speedy. The box did have some damage and the antenna was slightly bent. Still works just fine, though!

I have a CM4228HD antenna.
www.channelmasterstore.com , shows that the CM4228HD antenna is designed for reception of , VHF Tv channels 7 thru 13 and the current UHF Tv channels 14 thru 51.
Not just the UHF channels as the Best Buy information as of 12-30-2015 shows.
The CM4228HD antenna is excellent for reception of close to medium distance out to about 60 miles with , LOS = Line Of Sight , Reception.
LOS means No Obstructions of Any Type Or Kind between the CM4228HD antenna and the Tv tower transmitting antenna.
Transmitter transmitting power has a great effect on reception.
Know this , Any type or kind of obstruction/s between the CM4228HD antenna and (All Other Types or Kinds Tv Receive Antennas) and the transmitting antenna will degrade Tv reception.
Obstructions are and not limited to , walls , attics , roofs , chimneys , buildings - including your own building/s , signs , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , hills / mountains , and any other type or kind of obstruction that degrades / blocks Tv transmission and reception.
With LOS reception and a Tv antenna installed above the highest point of a roof the best reception will happen.
Some other good LOS reception locations are and not limited to , balconies , and even patios. It must be LOS or as close to LOS as possible.
Aiming a antenna through a building will reduce reception.
