Neill Blomkamp has brought to us three great films. District 9, in my opinion, is the best of the three. The lead character was great, the aliens were great. It's a great film. Elysium and Chappie were good, too, but District 9 is easily the best of the three. Still, Elysium is a decent film starring Matt Damon, and Chappie is a neat robot-coming-alive film.

Some of the best movies I've watched and my personal favorite of the three is definitely district 9, awesome movies! If you have never watched any of these 3 movies I highly recommend you give them a try.

Neill Blomkamp is one of my favorite Writer/Directors, he has a great imagination and the vision to put it together. Elysium is a wonderful visual experience. Chappie has a great story with outstanding actors. District 9 has lots of action along with a few plot twists.

Delved into this pack of Neil Blomkamp films despite already owning District 9. Was part of a 3/$20 sale and couldn't pass up owning all three of one of the best younger sci-fi voices of the past decade. Blomkamp is interesting. He seems to attract either outright love or hate at a similar volume. I wouldn't go so far as to say I LOVE his work, but I think he brings a pretty wonderful voice to the genre, and I'll use a comparison here that's near painful for me to do, comparing him to one who was my favorite; Ridley Scott. Scott & Blomkamp both tend to use their films with plenty of subtext and messages beyond what you see. I've always found Scott to be at his best when he eases off the pedal some and allows that subtext to simply exist. When he really wants the audience to pick up on it, it becomes a sledgehammer pounding in the room next door... It could be worse, it could be against your skull, but at a certain point, you almost wish it would move from next door to against your head and just either knock you out or just say it out loud. Blomkamp has, through all three films so far, kept that subtext firmly where it should be... As part of the world's history or background static. He never allows the *actual* story of events playing out on the screen to feel like it's second fiddle to the other points he's trying to make. Blomkamp's films, while including other messages, never strays too far from the EVENTS of the immediate interest of the film, at this makes his almost always both accessible AND enjoyable, never muddied by personal investments. And looking at how well he tells stories, compared to the beautiful to behold, but ego-stuffing of Prometheus, only adds to the recent frustration of Scott seemingly killing off any chance of Blomkamp touching Alien 5 in an interview earlier in the week. While Covenant seems to have listened to the complaints of fans, it still seems to be about Scott's ego and legacy, which could cost fans a better, more believable ending to the Alien series by one of the best voices in the business. This 3-pack of Blomkamp films are highly recommended. Even if you own District 9, there's been new features added. If you already own all 3, it may not be worth it. If you're unfamiliar with Neil Blomkamp, a look at these films' scores are all solid ratings, if not outright good or great; they absolutely should be in your library. The 3-pack also includes a code for digital copies, so you'll be able to take them on the go. Must own films that allow for a viewing while reflecting, or just to enjoy. Blomkamp is a voice we should all be supporting!

BLOMKAMP comes out with some great movies. I love district 9 and elysium.. they come out with some quality scifi flicks and was ecstatic when I found this set especially at this sale price. Would definitely recommend!

All three of these movies were amazing, and I really like chappie and that's the main reason I got the set. But it is totally enjoyable throughout the whole film set and I'll never get bored of watching any of them.

These look gorgeous with a 4K TV. And you can't beat spending $9.99 for 3 movies that show a dystopian future where the system is fought against. Totally worth the money and digital bundle included.

I like all movies very much, they have their flaws but I think they at least make you think a bit. Disctrict 9 I really enjoy, don't know if a sequel would be a good idea though.

Did not know this would have a hard cover book bind, great surprise. Along with 20 or so pages that include artwork and insight on the movies. Great purchase for $10.

I really love this book. It came with a ll three movies and amazing art that support this edition. The book is well made and very sturdy.

If you love sci fi like I do you will love this bundle.Looks great on my 4k television.The price is unbeatable.Way to go best buy.

Was a big fan of distric 9 and Elysium, Chappie was ok but for the price you can’t beat getting all 3 in one set.

The Blomkamp3 collection is simply fantastic and a must own for any Niell Blomkamp fan.

I picked this up for under $10! you can not go wrong with 3 great movies for that price!

This is a great movie 3-Pack. You can tell the movies were done by the same director and that is a good thing in this case. They are not related but still share common threads that perhaps you could make creditable theories that perhaps they are. The director has a way of making you feel about characters you normally would not, like thieves or killers, which also goes along with good script writing. In Chappie I keep going back and forth over the choice of using Die Antwoord, personally I like their music but at the same time it was hard to separate their musical personas and watch them as their characters. Matt Damon’s role in Elysium was good and shared the screen well, by which I mean that while he was the main character he did not seem to hog the spotlight and become the main focus, which happens with large named actors/actresses. Finally in District 9, I keep wanting for a sequel, it is a great movie, doesn’t need one but does deserve one.

None of these films are genre defining or amazing... however for the price you pay for all three, you'll find plenty of entertainment here!
