An awesome collection with great packaging of three great movies.

I had high hopes for Blomkamp following the release of the mesmerizing District 9. Ultimately, I found Elysium to be a complete and under drag. The characters are one-dimensional. The plot is filled with holes. The story is incredibly on-the-nose without even a shred of subtly. Chappie falls somewhere in the middle. It definitely has its moments were it seems like it might break out like District 9 does, but ultimately it also has many moments like Elysium that drag it down in the dirt. It makes for a fun watch, but it's not a particularly great film. That being said, despite one of the films in this collection being a dud, and another being so-so, at the price of the collection it's worth picking it up for District 9 alone. District 9 is a phenomenal movie and a must-watch for any sci-fi fans.

District 9 is a masterpiece, while Chappie and Elysium are just okay. If you can get this for cheap, go for it.

The cover edges were a little banged up but overall the price was good and you get Digital HD copy.

..The collection is a beauty and was on sale at Best Buy, I had a $5.00 Best Buy rewards, so this was a steal and a no brainer..Get it! oh and GET A 4K TV big as you can from Best Buy! I remember District 9 when it came out and the other two I hadnt seen so this was a really good deal. The directors style is unmistakable and realistic. The director has a few go to actors especially the guy who played Vikir in District 9 and the mercenary in Elysium (he is also in Chappie ..Sharlito Copley, ..the guy has incredible range..Where is this actor and directors next movie? Oh and what happened to Jodie Foster?

I went into the store to pick up an item that I purchased online. While I was at the Customer Service Counter I picked up the weekly sales flyer. I noticed there was a selection of 4k movies that were 2 for $20. I asked a Best Buy employee which ones were a part of the sale, and he quickly provided me a list. I ended up getting 2 great 4K movies for $20. Also, while I was in the movie section I noticed there was a shelf that had Blu Rays on sale for 2 for $10 as well. One of the blu rays I grabbed off of the rack was a 3 pack of Sci fi / action movies that I love! District 9 and Chappie were included in the bundle. 6 Awesome movies for $40!

So obviously this package of three films was put together because each film has the same director. It's a nice collection, because it's not just a part 1, 2, & 3 of one single story. It is 3 totally separate movies that have their own story lines and own worlds, but have the same dystopian feeling while really prodding at the human condition. It's kind of like when you're shopping online and you get that message that says, "people who viewed this also viewed that" and it allows you to check out other things that are similar in feel and style without being the exact same thing. This collection accomplishes that.
