Sevendust's latest release is a solid album from start to finish. It is not, however, a typical Sevendust album. Fans of Sevendust's heavier sound may be a little disappointed in this album, especially after the musical direction they seemed to be headed after Aplha and Retrospective 2. This release features more somber songs, with a greater emphasis on mood than heaviness. Guest appearances by Daughtry and Myles Kennedy stand out as prime examples of how Sevendust is trying to expand out of the simplistic hard rock/metal headbanger songs that dominated Alpha, and instead seem to be trying to temper that sound with some of the more pop-friendly elements of Animosity and Seasons. I highly recommend this album for any Sevendust fan who loves good melodies and isn't opposed to hearing something familiar with a new twist.

This new Sevendust album is absolutely incredible! I am simply blown away with how far they have come. Itis also a blessing to have Clint Lowery back. The darn album is so good, it literally made me cry. Congradulations on the new album guys and we are still awaiting a tour date in Phoenix!!!
