This was the first smoker I have ever used and it was meant to be my learning tool. It is very inexpensive and does everything a smoker should do. The construction is a bit on the cheap side and the seams leak, but I had very little trouble getting and keeping a consistent temp of 200 -225. The main cooking surface is very small and you are only really able to fit one rack or ribs, one brisket or a couple of small chickens (laying down). I've been using it quite a bit and am happy with the results. At the end of the year if I am happy with the taste of my smoked meats, I will most likely tuck this behind the garage and get a new one next year that is a bit bigger and of higher construction grade.

I have used it several times now, it works well. The temperature changes allot which I would assume is normal with charcoal smokers, it takes almost constant supervision. Assembly was easy, it did come with some minor damage from shipping but nothing serious. All in all it works as promised, good deal for the price. The cookbook that Char-Broil puts out is useless don't even bother.

This thing ain't gunna let you smoke all day for 50 people.. but it's great for about 5 - 8 people or a 12lb briskett.

I would recommend this smoker grill to any beginner. It took me about 2 hours to assemble the grill because the pieces don't really line up properly.

This smoker is good for short term smoking less than 4 hours. Ribs have to smoke for over 6 to 8 hours. Fire box is not big enough for long term smoking. If I were to recommend it to someone I would stipulate the short term smoking ability of this particular smoker

this works great for bbq!!!! cooks food great!!!!!

My husband loves his new smoker, just not the assembly of it.
