This game is fun, looks and plays like the Castlevania games on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS. I did find some dumb gimmicks that take away from the overall fun of the game, every time you level up enemies start giving you less experience to the point they only give you 1 experience point whenever you defeat them, you have a bestiary that tells you about the enemies but you have to defeat a certain amount of the same enemy before you can view it, but they don't tell you which enemy it is and how many you have to defeat it is all a guessing game, but the one thing that really angers me is that the game keeps track of how many times you get defeated, not in the game itself but on the main menu before you load your file. Other than all that if you enjoyed the Castlevania games you will enjoy this.

Fun little “Metroidvania” style game which reminds me a lot of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. If you like that game then I’m sure you’ll dig this one too.

Chasm is one of the finest Metroidvania games ever created. While the game’s developmental journey was longer than expected, the wait was well-worth it. Every aspect of the game shows that a great deal of care was put into it and the attention to detail for the core gameplay pays off in spades. There are many different ways to play Chasm and all of them result in an unforgettable experience. It plays like a dream, looks stunning and features an atmospheric soundtrack that makes every new room both exciting and terrifying.

Title says it all. Great controls and music. Just be sure to save lots of times. Also you always start at checkpoints like castlevania so make sure if you are far into a boss & die, you will go back. That's a minor issue but still a great game. Limited run games always please.

found this at a bestbuy, after i missed it on limited run
