Despite being a dedicated TV viewing couch potato in my youth, my disc library only includes a few series. Cheers is the only comedy. It has always been my favorite sitcom, and continues to be. Going through this box set reinforced that. Despite having seen these episodes countless times on TV over the years, they still made me laugh aloud. That's highly uncommon for me. It doesn't all hold up after all these years, admittedly, but I was relieved to find only a handful of bits that I found distasteful in the present. The series is broken into two Epik Packs; seasons 1-6 are in the first and 7-11 are in the second. The 45th disc, containing the series finale, is on a lone hub loosely affixed to the inside back cover of that pack's clamshell case. My hub fell loose before I even got the disc off of it, and I've had to resort to putting it in an envelop inside the case. Paramount opted not to pay for the music rights for the original songs, which severely undermines several episodes. The most glaring is probably "Please Mr. Postman", in which Sam woos Rebecca by playing the Righteous Brothers's "You've Lost That Loving Feeling", her favorite song. They talk about this explicitly, naming it several times. But what we hear on DVD is "Unchained Melody". Even a knock-off cover of "Loving Feeling" would have been preferable, since that's the song they're actually talking about. There are several other instances of bits being completely ruined by nonsensical substitutions (I'll never forgive the loss of "I Fought the Law" in the episode "Grease"), but at least those aren't directly contradicted by dialogue.

What a great deal for the entire DVD set. Highly recommend.

"Cheers" was fantastic and it's great to be able to watch every episode. Some DVDs/discs lag or jump in both my DVD player and computer Disc drive. It's annoying. The case/DVD holder is low quality. Some DVDs were loose when my purchase arrived and I thought the clips holding the DVDs were damaged, but they weren't. Some are just so loose they won't hold a DVD. Some others are so tight it's a struggle to get some DVDs out. One was so tight I thought I would snap the DVD and had to use some fine needle nose pliers to pinch the holder to get the DVD to release. I used a small file and removed a bit of the edges off and now it holds well and releases how it should. The set comes in two groups of DVD holders that are clipped together. I have not gotten to seasons 7 - 11 but the group holder for seasons 1 - 6 will not remain clipped together so when I pick it up I have to make sure I have a good hold on the entire group or a little over half of it will separate and fall to the floor or on my lap. It's a pain in the butt. I only gave it 4 stars because the series itself is so go. If I were to rate it based on the lagging and jumping picture and low grade case I'd probably give it 2 stars. I did expect better quality in both the DVDs and the cases. I'm going to click that I would recommend it to a friend on the off chance that I was just unlucky enough to get DVDs from a bad run and maybe all cases aren't as poorly molded as I received.

Come watch Sam, Norm, Cliff and the rest of the gang - without commericals - on a great dvd package, the entire series in one complete set. The package consists of 2 plastic boxes with individual dvd's accessible in page-like multi-disk holders. A great addition to any home video library. Each season also includes bonus material (bloopers, interviews).

If you were a Cheers fan, this is the collection to have. Every single episode, plus extras, behind-the-scenes, & commentary from the actors....we could watch this whole series every day and still laugh at each episode!

I was so happy to see this as a complete box set! I watched this show with my parents growing up, so it brought some good memories back! Came in the mail in almost perfect shape, no tears or scratches on the cover.

I grew up watching Cheers and it's been great going back and seeing the episodes from the beginning. Great cast, iconic characters, and outstanding writing.

If you don't own Cheers yet this is the way to go. The complete series for a very affordable price and in space saving cases. Enjoy.

This is one of our favorite tv shows. The case that holds the dice's could be better but overall a good item

Cheers is a memorable series, and I enjoyed the series best when Frasier and Lilith were on the show.
