Jon Favreau impresses once again in "Chef" a movie about a big time chef who falls to the bottom and must prove himself to his family and the world in order to work his way back to the top. Jon Favreau has also directed Movies such as "The Jungle Book" (2016), "Elf," "Iron Man," and more.

My review summary says it all! While it would not be on my Top 10 films of last year, Chef was a very cute and enjoyable film to watch. It was cool to see them filming right here in Austin, not to mention FL and CA too! The Blu-ray presentation was clean. There's not a whole lot in the extras department.

Terrific. Takes Jon Favreau back to his low budget roots. After Favreau had success with Iron Man I figured we'd never see another "small" film from him. Great from start to finish.

Don't buy the dvd version. Must buy on Blu Ray. The blu ray is way more colorful, much more detail, you are there in the movie. The food looks so real and delicious.

Jon Favreau does it again. He started in indie movies.. directing movies like Made as well as writing Swingers. Everyone knows his in the past few years as the director of the first Iron Man movie and more. Chef is a great indie comedy by a relatively big name star. Make this a MUST SEE movie!

This movie does what movies are supposed to do. It sucks you and and leaves you wanting more. By the end of the movie even I wanted to quit my job and get a food truck.

John Favreau delivered a great movie about cooking. It delivers the art of cooking with a passion with a hint of comedy. You enjoy this movie if you like food.

As everyone has said, this is a true return to "indie" form from director Jon Favreau. A simple, yet effective tale of a disgraced 4-Star chef, on the (literal) road to finding himself when he takes up a Food Truck business with his son and colleague. Fun and funny ensue.

Chef is one of those rare films that come along only every so often. As my summary says, the film is full of heart. It manages to combine elements of love for both family and career, parenting, and most obviously of all, food. Warning: Do not watch this movie on an empty stomach.
