This kettle heats water quickly, and provides an audible beep when it is done, which is sufficient to be heard from another room without being overly obtrusive. When set to a particular temperature, it initially overshoots the target a bit, then stabilizes. The hour-long temperature hold (not available when targetting a full boil) is useful and works well. It would be nice to have a bit more granular control for the temperature or simply different set points. Many coffees and teas target 195 or 205 degrees, but adjustments are performed in tens, so it is only possible to do 190 or 200. This is mitigated by the aforementioned tendency to overshoot the target. Additionally, the display shows a live display of the current temperature, so it is possible to program the kettle to reach e.g. 190, then bump up the target and watch the display to stop when it reaches 195 (usually less than a minute later). A minor annoyance is that the kettle beeps five times one hour after it is turned on, even if it turned off automatically upon reaching a boil, or was manually turned off after reaching a pre-set temperature. It also beeps whenever it is lifted from or returned to its base. In addition to the removable tea infuser, there is a removable fine mesh filter which fits across the pouring spout. This has the side effect of substantially slowing down the speed at which water pours. Whether that is good or bad is a matter of opinion. As a bonus, the clear sides and blue light from the bottom look very cool as the water reaches a boil.

Pros: -Transparent Glass: Will allow you to see the water levels with much ease [even has measurement markings too] -Tons of modes and temperature manipulation for a varied amount of tea preparations -The kettle itself is not wired: which makes taking it into a different room to serve company very simple. -Infuser: Lets you make a full pot of your favorite loose tea or you can just have the water heated to desired preference. -Alerts: Beeps nice and loud to let you know it's ready and have lovely blue LED lighting while it's heating the water. -Affordable: Got this on a black Fri and it was certainly a great value Cons: -Spout: I don't love the pouring spot on this kettle. It's a bit rounded and can sometime require a steeper angle to pour out it's content. -Difficult to clean: You can't remove the upper parts with lid and spouts are located. I recommend purchasing some good cleaning brushes with the length to let you get into the small areas to keep it nice and tidy.

got this to use in making pour-over coffee but also teas, cocoa, and even ramen noodles. It heats the water up quickly but there are two little gems about this unit that I wasn't able to find elsewhere for anything near the price. FIRST, you can choose a preset temperature, as it states, but the temperature is measured every step of the way. Thus if you want some temperature other than the presets you can either turn the unit off and let it cool down to the temperature you want, or remove the kettle as the temperature is rising. SECOND, the kettle is marked for amounts and you can see the water in the kettle. I paid attention the first times using it and quickly memorized how much water I needed for various uses. All this for half the price of most other electric kettles. I haven't cleaned it yet as I only heat water in it but I don't see anything tricky to doing so.

I have another of this companies products and have also given one to my daughter as a gift. I like iced tea and I drink a lot of it. Since buying this kettle I have averaged (on this version) 3 kettles a day without a problem. I use my other one to alternate when guests are over! It's that good. Not good enough, you say? I spent my own hard earned money on it so the truth is, it really is that good. I highly recommend this device! Yeah...Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

This really is a great electic kettle! I bought it for my mom for Christmas and she loves it! It lights up blue, which I did not know when I purchased it, and it has really great extra features like steeping tea & it also has different temperature controls for different types of tea! My mom only uses it for regular hot water but this will also keep the water/tea at the same temperature for an hour. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

After looking at several kettles, I went with this one as having the features I was looking for, and price point I was willing to spend. It heats water quickly and has the adjustable temperature settings. The only thing I found slightly annoying about this kettle is the beeping. It beeps when you remove or set the kettle on the base. It beeps when you turn it on or off. It beeps when it's done heating and it beeps when it turns itself off. I would recommend it.

I love the look of this electric kettle, but it doesn't seem to heat to lower than boiling temperatures when filled at the minimum level.. if anyone has suggestions, I would gladly try them. It just seems like a waste to heat all that water, even if it's only to the lower temp.. I only want a couple cups. Other than that, very quick, looks great

I've had traditional kettles and 2 other electric kettles (can't remember the brands but ended up giving them away because I didn't like them). This one is sleek and easy to use, although I've only used the on/off - have not programmed the temp. I like that it boils water quickly and beeps when ready. Also beeps after an hour when it auto-shuts off. Tea infuser works well. The only thing I would change is to have the water level markers on both sides.

I love my new tea kettle! It works really well. I love being able to pick the temperature that I want for the type of tea that I am drinking. Rather than watching the bubbles or waiting for the water to cool down for the more delicate teas. My boyfriend's children also love watching the water start boiling with the lights off since it has an led light.

We have more than 2 years and works same as thr first day we usually 20 times per day work with that. Thank u for offer this one, I hope I can keep this one for more couple years more. I recommended to buy. you can clean with white veingear easily only and boiling water.

We don't use the brew-basket too much, mostly just for boiling water. It's fast. We like that, for tea, the temperature can be brought to boiling and brought down, as recommended. Cleaning the interior isn't super easy, but we knew that going in, so not a "bad" thing against them.

I changed from a Cuisinart water kettle to this after my Cuisinart had contact issues with the heating element less than 2 years after purchase. I wish this would display the current temperature of the water after turning it on. I think I will go back to a Breville which lasted me over a decade when this one decides to stop functioning when I did find a way after playing with it for a little bit. Ideally, Id like the display to read the current selected temperature after pressing the on button. Then after displaying the selected final temperature, show the current temperature. If you would like to see the final temperature selection and the current temperature. After pressing the on button, press the program button.

The family was looking for a quick and precise way to brew tea in larger quantities. In the past we were using our Keurig to do this, but we were spending a lot of time doing multiple batches, which was wearing out our Keurig. The Chefman Kettle is easy to use, clean, and brews a larger quantity of tea. Definitely a good buy.

This tea-maker is great for making larger batches of loose-leaf tea. It heats the water super-quickly and is very easy to use and clean. It does lack the motorized timer and lifter that more expensive team makers have (i.e. $300+ models), but for this price - it is an excellent value.

This is a beautiful glass kittle. It not only has all the features other kittles have and also has temp control function that can keep water warm. When it turns on to boil water, the blue light is on too, very beautiful. You can easily see how much water in the kittle and easy to use. I bought 2, one will be a gift for a friend.

This kettle works great and is very flexible. It can heat water to many different temps all the way up to boiling. It can also hold the water at that temp for up to an hour. We used it for making hot tea using both tea bags and loose tea as well as making ice tea.

I drink hot water and tea every day and this is my second time buying this product. I must have worn out the first one. Glass kettles are WAY better so you can see when it needs to be cleaned. It has acted up a few times which is why I give it a 4 star. But I love it anyways!

I have made tea in this kettle at least once, sometimes twice per day, for the last two and one half years. I purchased it on sale for 50% off. It has been worth every penny. This kettle allows you to select the correct temperature for the type of tea you are brewing.

I love this electric kettle. Love the blue light around the bottom when it's heating, love how fast it heats a full pot of water, love the tea insert, this is just a great electric kettle.
