I waited to use this item several times before reviewing it. I have now made hard boiled and soft boiled eggs six times. If you follow the simple instructions, they come out done exactly as described in the directions each time. I don't know if it is the hot steam that is used to cook the eggs, but I have yet to have a problem peeling an egg cooked in this device. Every one peels perfectly! I like to store hard boiled eggs in the fridge to save time during the week. It only holds seven eggs which is fine for my wife and I. It takes about 15 minutes for the entire cooking process so you can quickly make more if you need them. I would definitely buy this again.

As other reviewers have mentioned... more time to cook is needed otherwise not fully cooked to my 'hard boiled' standards. Add a bit more water to do this. Used several times. Use organic and standard eggs. If using extra large eggs.. some space room for hard boiled eggs. Poached eggs go over small cup size (2 eggs, 3 spaces used works okay). Bottom does 'stain' a bit with well water but a bit of white vinegar and a 'Teflon safe' scrubber and a few moments and it is clean enough to put away. Much less water/time/etc than the old boil method. Much more consistent results than boil method. Will absolutely continue to use. This one replaced one often used since in the 1970's era. Smaller unit and easier storage.

This product is great if you don’t need to cook a ton of eggs at a time. So much easier than boiling eggs and the buzzer will sound until you turn it off so you really won’t forget about it.

Love my egg cooker simple but does what it says it will do. Suggested to use distilled water I didn't first time had extra cleaning to get rid of the water spots off next time used the distilled water much easier to clean will use distilled water. It seems well made and my hard eggs comes out perfect. Have not tried any other ways to fix eggs--no comment. When eggs are finished the buzzer goes off loud enough if in another room.

I make 6 hard boiled eggs just the way I like them. Better than boiling them in hot waterthen guessing if they ate right.

You would think it is extra junk on the kitchen counter, at least that was my wife argument. Until she used it for boiling soft eggs and changing numbers of eggs with consistent results. Now the in laws want one too. Simple and easy to use with no more cracked or overboiled eggs.

Works great and a great addition to the kitchen. 5 star performance.

Less than 10 minutes, you can have up to 8 eggs perfectly done. Easy to clean, and easier to prepare.

This is super easy to use and quickly learned. Hard boiled eggs are cooked to an excellent condition.

Cooks eggs perfectly however you want them. Easy clean up. The poaching part is a little tedious.

Really enjoy my egg cooker. Wife was questioning my purchase, but after using it, she says it is great. Cooks great. Never have to set a timer or keep checking the clock. Eggs are cooked correctly every time. Eggs appear to peel easier - not sure why. Only complaint is that I wish the markings on water cup were easier to use, especially the soft and medium soft markings.

Works as stated, but the hard water stains appear after first use.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I was looking to buy an electric egg cooker and after reading the reviews I choose this one. It is fantastic and makes cooking hard boiled eggs so much easier!

First time ever getting or using. I was looking for something that could cook my hard boiled eggs and it does that. Pour water place eggs place lid and it will buzz when done. Easy & works great for me

Where has this been all my life. Well we have a gas stove and not a fan of my kids using gas. I bought this so they could make their hard boiled eggs. Its fast and simple and easy fro a 11 year old.
