Spike Lee being very much Spike Lee. I enjoyed this film.

I've been a Spike Lee fan since his debut. He's an accomplished filmmaker who hasn't lost any of his edge nor creativity. Chi-raq is very imaginative and SHOULD rank highly with films like Black Orpheus if only it weren't so flawed. Spike was never a subtle filmmaker and this film could use a few pumps of the brakes. I have a theory about him: every 4th (or so) film is really good. Chi-raq doesn't fit the equation exactly. Too much of this, too little of that. Was hoping the opening song would be worth an Oscar nom. It's worth seeing for it's raw power and social commentary.

It was alright could have been better but alright.

I purchased this movie not expecting much but it turned out to be really interesting. It showed a different approach to stopping urban street violence. Not too realistic but interesting.

You need to live in Chicago to understand what's going on to the young people. Watch and encourage your young people to put away all violence and love each other and see Jesus.....

I teach Aristophanes' LYSISTRATA in my AP English Lit class, so I'm grateful Spike Lee has shown that the subject matter's theme is still relevant. Let's all uplift the human spirit, not negate it!

Spike Lee is so underrated as a director,frankly i think he is a genius...what a great film,i love the cinematography.great cast also/i don't buy movies often this one was well worth it!!!!

Had never heard of this movie. Saw it advertised, and on a hunch decided to purchase from Best Buy. Pretty good movie....Buying from Best Buy was a great decision.

The idea of using something too stop or start a man doing something is an old idea but the movie shows how it works.

This movie had an interesting message (urban message). I was surprised at the roles of some of the cast.

If you haven't already go out and get this great movie and have a movie night. Make sure you pick up your goodies, popcorn, candy & soda and enjoy.

Chi-raq was a good movie to watch with your family and friends to see up close and personal what's life like in the inner city of Chicago.

Chi Raq is ok but at times hard to understand. There are a lot of good actors in the movie

Not the best movie from Spike Lee for sure,,more like a musical West Side Story etc..

Spike has been around a long time. This film shows his growth. Quite an adaption of an old story to a real modern day problem.

If you look at this movie for the art imitating life as it is? you'll enjoy Spikes consistency in his storytelling. Loved it!
