I have been trying to replace my HAI flat iron and decided to give CHI a try after hearing how good they are. I was disappointed. I have thick coarse hair. I have to use the highest setting to get it acceptably late. It is very light weight. I got it on clearance. But look for a better iron. I think the conair does just as good for less.

My wife lost her last straightener. I had credit with Best Buy and the CHI reviewed very well. It also helped that it was on sale resulting in a great deal. My wife says it is a very good product.

I wanted to find something not to expensive but not to cheap . This works great for the wife . It can straighten her hhair since she has curly hair and it can do curls as well . Great product so far .

I've had my Sedu flat iron for over 6 years and completely love it. It's now starting to go out on me and I saw this Chi was on sale for just under HALF ($50 from $100) so I thought I would jump on it. It feels nice and smooth and does heat up very quickly. But the gap between the hot plates and the plastic got my hair caught in it. I wasn't even straightening my whole head of hair. Just loose hairs that aren't long enough to hold in a pony tail and it yanked out 2 hairs from such a small area. That was enough for me to return though the price was great.

I have tried tons of different straighteners and was scared to spend so much on a chi. Luckily, I happened to walk by this in my store when it was on sale. Best purchase ever! I will never buy another brand again!

Had very high hopes from the product, based on the reviews i read, though i am a bit disappointed, nothing in the product which stand out. The plates don't close, so is a little inconvenient to store.

I love this flat iron! I've only ever had cheaper ones, but this is great! Leaves my hair feeling super soft and looking great all day! Love that I can curl my hair too! Heating pad is a plus!

This is a great product, especially since the cricket doesn't come with everything you will need, this comes in really handy when doing multiple crafts.
