I knew nothing about this film when I bought this film. I checked it out for Tom Hardy. I enjoyed it.

this is a good movie even though it lost me at one point, still a good movie though and a must watch.

A thoughtful movie about sticking to your convictions and refusing to comprise on morals, even if they deal with another person. Highly recommended for thinkers who can tolerate the gore.

Tom hardy is a very good actor. He can make you like the character even when the role he's portraying is someone who walks a dark line in life but has a spark of good show up.

Tom Hardy's character is a good cop in a system (Stalin's Soviet Union) that doesn't care about justice or virtue, just toeing the Soviet line. This would be a better movie if Tom Hardy's supposed Russian accent were more like an accent and less like mumbling. Despite that I look forward to seeing it again. The visuals are great.
