If you read the book by Arthur C. Clark, this was both a WONDERFUL rendition, and a partial let-down due to the changes made to the original...much like Enders Game was. Both movies should have been faithful to their originals and went to parts, rather than to simplify many of the ideals that both originals had. Enders Game the book, went on to 2 other novels that were as good as the original. While there was no second book to Childhoods End, too much was changed, and parts left out that would have been nice to see since they went to such trouble to bring the book to life. You cant change a classic and do it right!

I remembered reading the book many years ago. However I don't remember the ending, and I don't want to give it away. I believe this movie (rather, a TV show), was rather well done, and I enjoyed it. I believe they took the liberty of changing the story somewhat, but I am glad I was able to add this to my Blu-ray collection.

Book review, then viewing parts of this program on a mini special, I decided to invest in the DVD in order to see the entire series. This movie had been attempted in the past, but did not quite get off the ground. With today's technology and some thought by the director as to how to portray the lead character, I think the timing was on point. How would one prepare for Eternity?

This movie was almost like the book. Childhoods end was my first science fiction book that i've ever read and it started a phenomenom. This was an excellent movie.

Enjoyed the story and the mini series format. Story too complicated to tell in 2 or 3 hour movie, so mini series format is ideal.

Since I read this book as a young boy I have hoped that someone would make a movie that would due justice to this classic. I loved how well this miniseries captured the spirit of this thought-provoking tale.

Wow, this was an excellent series with three episodes that ran from 80 to 105 minutes. Very engrossing.

A Lot of the racial and political views were omitted from the story and they diluted aspects of the book I thought were quite dramatic!

Critics didn't do this one justice. Good story line.

Liked the miniseries it was a interesting take on humanity and what happen when alien get involved. I will let you figure out the rest
