I bought this because one of my doorbells didn't get a good wireless signal. This fixed the problem. I also like the different rings the it gives you to choose from when someone presses the button on the doorbell.

I really do like the chime pro as an exentended doorbell with extra chime noise features, however, I have not had much success with it as a wifi extender. I even purchased faster internet from Comcast, but still my video feed is not consistent and very rarely works. I have moved the chime pro to several locations in the house with ring support on the line, but getting the same results. Signal reads Good in device health on both the Ring Pro doorbell and chime pro. I'm not too sure what exactly is causing the issue. Ring is going to send me another Ring Pro to see if maybe I just have a faulty doorbell. Ring's customer service has been top notch!

Our ring pro doorbell gets 20Mbps down and 10Mbps up speeds on the 2.4Ghz band of our home router. That's not bad. But it's not great either. That speed causes enough lag that the app opens slowly and there's about a 4 or 5 second delay between the video feed and what's realtime. We have a powerful dual band router but it's a ways away. Our speeds near the router are 80down and 10up for the 2.4Ghz band and 150down and 10up for the 5Ghz band. Outside where the doorbell is, the 5G connection was very poor getting only 4Mbps down and 1Mbps up. So I connected the Ring Chime Pro and it worked but it really didn't help much at all. Maybe bringing the speeds up to 25-30Mbps down. I tried several outlets in various places between the router and the doorbell, mostly with the same results. I didn't realize it doesn't work with the 5Ghz band. It doesn't even search for that network connection. That was a big bummer. So while it works, and as you'll read in other reviews, it's a great solution for some people, it wasn't right for me. So what did I do? Well we also purchased the Coredy AC1200 dual band wifi extender for only a few bucks more than this Ring Chime Pro. We found the optimal place to put it in between the router and the doorbell where it still got a pretty solid signal from the router and good speeds, and most importantly I could take advantage of the 5G band. It may not go through as many walls as the 2.4Ghz band, but within a certain distance it's much faster. I instantly was getting 110Mbps down and 10Mbps up speeds off this extender. So I then connected the Ring Doorbell Pro to this new 5G network coming off the extender and now outside with the door shut the doorbell gets a solid 5G connection and it's 80Mbps down and 10Mbps up! That's 4 times the download speed as the router only. I'll take that! The result...I instantly noticed that the live view popped up much quicker. And the delay was maybe one second max. That's 4 times better than what it was before. It's much more fluid now and while this is just day one with the device, I'm happy with how things are now. Hope this helps others!

I wish I didn't need this at all since I have multiple satellites with my Orbi and my house really isn't that large - but apparently the concrete walls make it difficult to receive the signal at the video cameras. Rather than buy a $300 satellite, this $50 device worked fine. Very easy to install and use as usual with Ring products.

I was having connectivity issues with my Ring Doorbell 2. The video was freezing, there was a bad lag, and sometimes I couldn’t even activate the live view feature. This device resolved my issues!

Works as advertised. I have a nice central location where this is plugged in and it provides a nice audible chime inside my home when the doorbell is activated. No dropped connections since install.

Since I do a lot of traveling, I set the chime to dogs barking which are loud enough for anyone at the door to think there are large dogs in the home when either the front or back doorbell rings.

It works helped me get my devices on the network. If they beefed up the ability of the devices to see my wi-fi i wouldn't have needed it.

I ended up buying this for my wireless camera due to distance and obstacles between my camera and router. Everything works great now.

The chime pro works great with the ring and allows for some great sounds, the primary one windchimes, when people approach the house. I love it and can also hear it on my phone or device so I know to look and see who is there and possibly communicate with them through the ring doorbell. Love the chime!

This chime is an awesome feature, great value add to the ring doorbell2 and more so being able to set different chimes to differentiate approaching traffic versus ring of the bell.

I am very pleased with my ring door bell. I want able to hear my doorbell while upstairs do I decided to try this item along with my ring chime pro. No complaints so far. Thanks

Great for amplifying the wifi signal through a metal garage door. I have one doorbell outside the garage door on my townhouse which is on the opposite end as my front door.

Easy to set up. Literally less than 60 seconds. Great system and really achieves both purposes i needed it for. Security and obviously a doorbell that connects to my phone.

I was having major wifi connections with my Ring flood cam. When came to receiving a signal.from my Ring flood cam. After installing this signal increased by 99%

This chime pro is suppose to extender the signal to your ring door bell outside if it isn’t getting good WiFi signal as well has chime when someone rings the door bell. It basically does what it says. Sometimes the ring doorbell freezes when you try to activate live mode. But idk if it’s a weak signal from the WiFi, battery or devices itself. The chime works just fine and there are different chime sounds to choose from. The only way to hook it up is by plugging it in. Going on the app to set it up, then doing to your ring device, unscrew off the plate to access the pair button them pairing it that way. Kinda time consuming. It’s just as easy and just plug and play. There are extra steps.

Really helps boost my Wi-Fi signal.Very simple to install and use.It is as described. I believe they are very affordable for what you get.We bought the Ring video doorbell and this item made the difference in helping it to work better.

My ring doorbell is behind the metal door and the wifi signal was sometimes breaking. I was advised by the ring representative that ring chime pro would help. After installing it the wifi connection is much better plus the chime is loud enough for my mother that had trouble hearing if someone knocks on the door.

I have a couple of floodlight cams on a house with a brick exterior, and this product works seamlessly to extend the wifi signal to both of our cameras.

Ring Chime extends your wifi and amplifies the sound for motion and an actual doorbell ring. Ring Chime woke me up one night due to motion, I looked at my phone and found there were people at my front doorbell, but my floodlights came on due to the motion from Ring and scared them off So thankful for Ring doorbell and Ring Chime. Who knows what those people were about to do.
