This movie had the boxing angle, which kept it from being too "girly", so my husband liked it. And it had the romance angle, which was very well-done and believable. Great performances!

Forget about Rocky or Raging Bull, Cinderella Man might well be the best boxing movie ever. The performances, cinematography, directing, writing; everything is top-notch.

Well done movie. Great actors all around. Really gave you a sense of what the Great Depression was like.

Strong performances by Crowe and Zellweger make this an enjoyable night with popcorn on the sofa

I recommend this movie. Although, the DVD we received was defective and we missed some important parts.

I remember when this film was released June 2005. Didn’t really do well at the box office. SHOULD have been released in the fall. Good to watch the story. BUT, WE DID NOT NEED THE MADE UP/NOT REAL CHARACTER OF MIKE. Russell did his normal excellent job. SHOULD have gotten an Oscar nomination. Good to see Braddock’s granddaughter playing FAKE MIKE'S wife. I did NOT like the Mae character. I know this was a long time ago & woman’s roles were different but come on. Sat around while Jim busted himself at the docks & getting back into boxing to make money for the family. Did NOT support Jim’s boxing, she would NOT watch nor listen. A few extras on the DVD. When DVD's USED to have chapter search lists. Interesting to see making of sections.

This movie is awesome. Crowe is one of the better actors over the past decade or so. He was also nothing short of incredible in Gladiator.

This is an excellent movie, to make men and women cry! GREAT acting and storyline.

This film may go down as one of the most emotional sports stories of all time.

This is a very good feel good story that is great for the entire family!!
