Cinemanow is Best Buy's digital media service, similar to vudu, amazon instant video, or apple iTunes. The cinemanow gift card allows you to purchase or rent movies and t.v. shows on line. The "immediate delivery" gift card is emailed to you as soon as you check out on line. The obvious advantage is that you can use it immediately the biggest disadvantage is that they add tax to this item. Gift cards are supposed to be exempt from sales tax and if you purchase the physical cinemanow gift card you will not be subject to the sales tax. Also, it has been my experience that you can usually find the same digital copies of movies in HD cheaper at Vudu and Amazon instant video so I would compare prices before committing to cinemanow gift cards.

Decided to try the CinemaNow Service with my Rewards Points, It took three attempt, the first two processed the got kicked back, with the final being on the phone with a representative to manually force the a purchase, On the service was activated, ALL Titles were much more expensive than the competitors, While streaming, the movies would stop halfway through and force you to call CinemaNow to get new Code to start again, Via email took several days, We will not be using this service in the future.

I thought it would be great to use cinemanow card to rent movies online. I received the code for the credit and went on to cinemanow and downloaded the code and had he credit on the account. I used it for one movie and did not immediately download movie. I later logged back on to use but my credit and purchased movie was gone. It jus disappeared from my account. I would not ever recommend cinemanow.

Well worth the money. Easy access to HD movies for rental or purchase. Streaming is flawless just as good as blue ray movie.

Great way to use your best buy points or gift card balance

I used a best buy gift card to order a cinema now card. I completed my purchase in a few minutes was able both buy and rent movies from the comfort of my favorite chair. The only negative is a best buy gift card won't work with cinema now hence using the card to buy cinema now specific gift card. If bestbuy gift cards start to work directly I will update this review

This is exactly what it states it is. A GC for Cinemanow. Worked like it said except I had to call when the email never came.
