Customers enjoy the Circle with Disney's ease of use, simple setup, and effective content filtering capabilities. Many appreciate the device control features, allowing for monitoring and management of children's internet usage. However, some customers find the price to be a barrier, and a few experienced performance issues, particularly with multiple users. Concerns were also raised regarding children's reactions to screen time limits imposed by the device.

The Circle has been very, very effective at controlling and filtering my kids' Internet usage, particularly in letting me customize which content gets through and which does not. But buyer beware -- this product is a lot easier to use if you're technically inclined and comfortable with thinks like MAC addresses and embedded web browsers.

I purchased this a few weeks back and it's taken me a bit to figure out how best to use it. This only works on Wifi but I think it's a good start and a good way to help talk with your kids. I immediately noticed apps and usage that wasn't real, but that was application background refresh. I changed the timing to be on specific platforms and categories, and this has proven to work much better. Don't set a time limit per day all up, just for the areas that make sense. That way they can still do homework!

We bought this device to help manage and keep track of our boys internet usage. It's great for setting time allowances and pausing the internet when needed. The only downside is when they play offline on the xbox.

It is a great way to monitor and limit the use of internet in the home. Also, allows us as parents to control what types of apps and sites can be accessed. The only drawback so far is that it shuts down the use of all apps and sites when our router transmits 5Ghz speed, so we have to disable the faster internet speed.

Had this going in no time. Very solid guided setup and proactive support methods to help get the most out of this solution. Will not replace active parenting but a great tool to help with today’s challenges.

The Circle has worked as advertised. We were able to setup all our kids devices quickly and then watch the Circle do it's job. No more waking up in the middle of the night and finding the kids on their iPad.

I bought this on the advice of my sister. I told her that my teen son was staying up way too late on the weekend playing Fortnight. The Circle allows you to set up bedtimes, off time (for homework, chores, etc), rewards, pause if they are misbehaving and other features. It also allows you to monitor how they are spending their online time, ie: YouTube, online games, Snapchat, etc. It does not show you exactly what they are doing. It’s not hard to set up but requires a little technical ability. There is no monthly fee unless you get CircleGo. I got Go for $5 a month because I want to monitor my kids cell phone data too. I had a conversation with my teens & so far it has gone well with a little resistance. It has really helped to monitor all night gaming & set limits on cell phones during homework time. I highly recommend getting this when your kids are young so they are used to limits and it’s less of a battle. So far no complaints. I ama middle school counselor & I will highly recommend this in my parent conferences.

I have bought countless apps for the iPhone to control my kids usage, none of which have had all the features Circle does. Set it up and forget it. It does all the work. It works great for anything network related. You can cut the wifi or hardwired devices at any given time with one click from the Circle app. So you can control your Netflix or Xbox or PC. When their times up it automatically blocks all network traffic for that device. I Would have given it 5 Stars if it could control the apps/games that don't require wifi or even the ability to lock the device at any given time. Kids still continue to play local games once wifi is deactivated. Something Circle should include in future update.

I've been using this for a little over a month and it works extremely well at filtering websites and monitoring internet usage. We set time limits for internet and the wifi shuts off automatically. The only improvement I'd like to see it being able to shut off specific apps in addition to the internet

So just to start off, I have three small kids who are just starting to figure out stuff online. Each has tablet but I wanted say to control when they could use them and what they could do while online. My friend pointed me towards this little item six was a cinch to set up. Just plug it in, install the app, and you are up and running! You can set up each member of the family and their devices, which automatically show up in the app when they connect to the home network. Will also work with network extenders and wired and wireless devices. Best part is you can simply pause the families devices or even pause all the internet going to your home. Easier than unplugging the router.

Great device for parental control. However lacks Android app. WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY - Control the total amount of time that a kid is on the internet across all of THEIR devices - Control the total amount of time that a kid uses a particular internet site across all of THEIR devices - Shut down access to the internet (not the device) at a predetermined bedtime. - Add parental controls to any router rather than relying on the router company

I work in the IT industry and I am very familiar with mobiles and desktops, but staying abreast of all the latest family threats and trying to put a reasonable wall of protection around my kid's Internet access can be a full time job. What I love about Circle is it makes this so much easier to manage. Now I know I've got some basic control over screen time and access without having to police everything my kids do. It is easy to configure and manage and though no solution is 100% effective, this makes life easier to manage in a connected age where you want some oversight into you kid's online access without being overbearing.

    Controlling Kids internet use

I bought this to help me control devices that my kids would use and get on the internet. Paid $55 and thought it was a great price for this device. You can set it up per child and dedicate devices to each. This helps you monitor their activity and regulate web use. I had some initial issues to get it to work properly with my current home wireless router. Had to spend numerous attempts to allow filtered content to actually work. Needed alot of patience to work through this. Controlling devices is A bit hard when an iPad is not a specific dedicated device. Takes time to set things up and identify each item on your network. If you have the time and patience, this can be a life saver to control those kids who play games and watch youtube when homework is to be done. Or the night time sneaky play on them (shut device down during bed hours).

I was not impressed with this purchase. Circle paired up easily with my regular WiFi but couldn't get Circle to pair with my 5G WiFi. The kids could easily switch their WiFi usage on their devices to circumvent the device. Also, very slow response when I tried to cut off internet from my phone. I returned the product.

This device is small and not very noticeable. It works well, and so far, we have not experienced the speed slowdown issues mentioned in the other reviews. Setup is quick and easy. The app and interface are also very easy to use.
