This is a great SOHO router that has VPN capabilities. But, if you need interoperability with other brands of routers using IPSec it can be problematic. Also I was never able to get the QuickVPN utility to ever connect remotely. I've used PPTP with some issues remotely connecting back. Reboots are required periodically to have this capability work when away.
If you intend to use the same router end-to-end it should shine. Overall a great value.
I would recommend this to a friend

I have been using this product for about 3 years, initially with Comcast and now with Verizon FIOS (behind the Verizon provided router, with the port to this one DMZed). I have a home network with 4+ computers and 9 security cameras, with a section wired and 2 Wireless-N access points. This device has been performing flawlessly for more that 3 years. I am a very heavy user. I VPN (pptp) into my home network constantly to access my security cameras and my server. This product is excellent, but to be able to use all its capabilities you need to have al least a minimum of networking knowledge. I would recommend it to anyone.
