Considered by film historians to be among the best movies ever, this way-ahead-of-its-time presentation holds up very well today. Excellent story, superb acting, exceptional cinematography (in beautiful black & white) and lots more. You can't go wrong.

More than I expected. This is a great collectors item from the Criterion Collection of arguable one of the best most definitive movies of all time.

This movie is # 1 on any top 100 movie list for a reason. It uses camera shots that had never been used before and still are used to this day. The age progression on Wells is top notch. Its such a good black and white movie that it has more color in it than any new movie does. The acting is an all star cast of that time, most if not all of the actors were once radio actors.
