This is a classic that came before Citizen Kane. Sound was just starting in films and Charlie Chaplin decided to go with a silent movie. And what a great choice it was! Probably his most heartfelt film. I cried at the end. And that's not an easy thing to do to me!

Despite being in Blu-Ray, the film leaves something to be desired as it is not in wide or full-screen. This is a spectacular film, but the quality of the HD is not worth the hefty price tag.

    Chaplin's Greatest Masterpiece

The Little Fellow falls in love with a blind flower girl. That's the simple plot that Charlie Chaplin adheared to upon his final fully realized, fully silent movie. The subplot with the millionaire and the Little Fellow's willingness to do whatever it takes for the flower girl are sure to win over any audience. Recently, this film was moved up the charts on AFI's Top 100 Movies of All Time. The ending of this film, after the trials and tribulations endured by the Little Fellow bring a tear to your eye and tug at your heart strings. Chaplin proved that despite Hollywood's entrance into the world of sound, he could still make the world of silence into a masterpiece. Chaplin's greatest film!!!

Chaplin's finest, in a great Criterion release. I am very happy with this purchase.
