Like a mini pad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this case on clearance and installed on my wife's iPad mini. She loves it. Makes her feel like she has a miniature laptop. Careful: it adds a lot of weight. Don't drop it on your bare foot!

Nice idea yet poorly engineered
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This product is built with quality materials but unfortunately misapplied for durable long term use. The aluminum base keyboard is nice but the spring back on the keys is poor after less than 1 month of use. Several keys stick causing the character to repeat. The polycarbonate case that houses the iPad is way to rigid for the multiple opening and closing function and tends to crack quickly leaving the hinge inoperable. The worst part for me is that the hole where you plug in the charging cable on the polycarbonate case is misaligned and too small for the Apple OEM Lightning charging cable to fit in. Therefore you have to remove the iPad mini Gen 1-3 from the case every time you need to charge. This adds additional stress on the case causing it to crack quickly. Bottom line. I returned it within the 30 days and got my money back. No one at Incipio/ClamShell is going to win the profile in Engineering courage for this poorly designed case. Don't waste your money.
