Love this anime. Read the manga and got hooked on this series. Highly recommended if you like the animation from ninja scroll.

Claymore is a very well made and entertaining anime sourced from an absolutely amazing manga. The mysterious medieval world where the story takes place is familiar but alien enough to keep things interesting. I love the claymores themselves. Each one has particular personality traits, some of which make their job of killing man eating monsters easier and some that make it more difficult. The main character is unusual for a claymore in that she seems more human and caring compared with her sometimes more sadistic comrades. The story of Teresa and Clare is genuinely touching and memorable which is kind of rare in an action anime like this. It has to be said that if you like the anime by all means check out the manga. The artwork is incredible, the pacing allows for better character development, and the depictions of awakened beings are super cool. The DVD set is nice with seperate cases for the discs. Nice artwork throughout along with a decent little insert with production drawings and factoids. Highly recommended

Really good anime that has a lot of action with a good story. Highly recommend to anyone that likes to watch anime.

If you're looking for a good, well animated, and violent anime then this one is for you. A must have.

I wish this series was condensed into 5 hours vs 10, but that is just my opinion. Still amazing anime

I saw this on Netflix and loved it so much that I got the Series because they took it off Netflix .

If you're looking for a great mature action based anime then you should check this out. This rivals Berserk's greatness in every way. I am a big fan of the Berserk series and it's hard to find anything that comes close to that. Claymore does it. There are a lot of things like blood and limbs cut off so this is definately hardcore and not for anyone who doesn't want to see that.

Claymore Is one of those surprising JP Anime series that will keep you for the entire season. Based in Medieval times, the world is full of demonic shape-shifting creatures known as the "YOMA" killing humans in local villages and cities. And the only thing stopping them from killing even more is a contract for hire group called "The Organization". And for a fee, will send in Female half-human/half-yoma warriors called "Claymores" to hunt and destroy the "YOMA". Our lead Protagonist CLARE is a claymore hunting Yoma within her district. By her No.47 she is the lowest warrior in the Organization. She saves a young boy from a Yoma and the boy cares for her enough to not leave her side. Clare faces obstacles from Yoma to even Other Claymores. Her backstory entails of her when she was saved by No.1 Claymore named Teresa, The highest leavel Claymore years ago. I can go on and on about the story but that will take WAY to long. But for the Blu-Ray version with all it's clarity. This is a GREAT anime series. DON'T MISS OUT!!

If you're looking for action and an intriguing plot line, then you won't be disappointed with Claymore. Sure, there are some corny moments in the episodes, but you'll soon overlook that. However, there is a lot of blood with severed limbs and decapitated heads, but if that doesn't bother you, then you'll be in for a treat.

claymore follows the story mainly concerning clare whom herself is a claymore made to slay demonic like voracious creatures named yomas who devour humans to say the least, this anime is great in both graphics as well as action, it will surely not bore you if youre into medevil like times with swords, beasts, and slaying REALLY GORY AT TIMES but otherwise if you dont have a weak stomach it should be great for you :D WATCH IT :P
