The original Cleopatra movie is one worth watching! The later Elizabeth Taylor version is spectacular in color, but you must see both to really appreciate the great talent in these movies.

I love the old movies & this is one of the best. I have the one with Liz Taylor & always wanted this one.

I wanted to see Cecil B. DeMille`s version of Cleopatra and I am glade I did it is great.

This is classic Cecil B. Demille epic film about Cleopatra. How historically accurate it is, can be argued. But it is definitely entertaining! Those sets were incredible. Never a dull moment. Also, currently priced at an insane $10 which is a bargain for this classic. The disc also includes 3 documentaries (the Code era, Claudette Colbert and DeMille features).

I like watching old movies from Hollywood's Golden Age. I have already owned Liz Taylor's Cleopatra and I got this to compare or contrast these two movies. Claudette Colbert's version pushed the envelope before the Hayes Codes of decently were enacted. This should be in your collection if you love Hollywood's Golden Age.

Great film by DeMille with all the over the top sets and thousands of extras! The over acting is incredible but great fun as well. Just a wonderful representation of Studio excess!

Must see or have classic, black and white original Cleopatra, well done. If you like the latter version with Elizabeth Taylor, you will love this.
