Good movie to end the clerks trilogy which started in 1994

Smith has used the conceit of making a movie for his own movies before, but Clerks III gets away with it not only as the next chapter in the lives of these characters but as the next chapter in Smith’s self-reflection and catharsis. While it does repeat some of the same Randall and Dante beats from the second film they’re different enough as they’re applied to a different stage in their lives and a vastly different set of circumstances considering the lives each of them has led up to this point. The types of discussions/arguments Randall and Dante have are going to be cyclical, especially when you see one another every day, and Randall is as condescending as ever without having enough shared experiences to really be critical of or even understand Dante’s grief, but this segues nicely into what I liked most about Clerks III as it finally gives Randall a reality check and while he in some ways comes out the other side even more arrogant he also finally realizes he’s played the role of spectator for the majority of his life.

I’m a big Kevin Smith fan so I might be a bit biased, but this such a good movie. Funny with lots of throw backs to the original film’s production but with an emotional piece that is more rare in Smith’s films and here it really is a shot in the heart strings. The film is presented in a beautiful steel book with a Blu-Ray copy, 4k Ultra copy and digital code. Extras include a 90 min making of documentary, cast commentary, a 3-hour Clerks retrospective, deleted and extended scenes and the theatrical trailer.

I have been a huge fan and supporter of Kevin Smith the moment I watched the original Clerks. This film is the perfect book end to this fantastic series. A greatly emotional story with all the comedy that one has come to expect from Kevin Smith. The acting from the core cast was fantastic and the appearance from old friends was unexpected and wonderful. Everything any Clerks fan would want.

I feel like Kevin spends too much time thinking about how his daughter would react to his movies now rather than how the audience will react. Clerks 2 will always be his peak.

Kevin Smith manages to craft a loving, poignant sequel to his breakout film. The story is crafted around his real life heart attack and makes this film feel all to real at times, while adding in meta elements of the characters actually making the first Clerks movie. Smith definitely delivers on this one. When he’s in his element he’s unstoppable.

If you're not a fan of Kevin Smith's work, then this movie is probably not for you. BUT if you happen to take the drive with him on this nostalgic road trip, with his sensibilities and all, you'll appreciate the story he's telling. A universal story about love, grief and what we do in the face of our own mortality and the friends we face it with.

Having a personal interest, I was pleased with this movie. I think even casual watchers will like it, and even find it more accessible than than the previous movies. The steelbook is very nice and attractive. The 4K video is excellent, as is the audio, both are extremely well done with no extra processing marring the image/audio.

The packaging is just as great as this movie. If you’re at all a fan of fun, good, hilarious movies, this one is for you! It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but I assure you, you will get a kick out of it, especially if you catch the references to other movies. Check. It. Out. Bring some tissues; happy and sad tissues.

If you can find this steelbook version, GET IT! It's stunning, and it's the only way to get the movie in 4K! The movie itself is actually VERY good! Clerks 2 wasn't that great, but Clerks 3 returns to its roots, referencing MANY scenes from the original film. I highly recommend it, for fans of Clerks!

This movie is great! A great way to end the trilogy in the most Meta way. The movie embraces the first two movies and in my opinion is a great trilogy that never fails to make me laugh! Thank you Kevin Smith for these enlightening characters! Dante We Love You!!! You weren't supposed to here today.

This was a fun and occasionally heavy film. Kevin Smith returns to his roots and appears to end the Clerks series with a surprisng amount of heart. Its worthwhile for fans that can open up to an artist who hasnt softened his edge but refined it. A good looking film in 4K and on Blu.

I love the Steelbook case. If you’re a fan of kevin smith films this is worth the watch, even though it was a extremely depressing film. While the first film was very quick witted writing and extremely funny this film was the opposite. Not a bad film, just very serious in tone.

I was shocked at how moving this movie was. For those of us of a certain age, we sort of grew up with these characters (as well as Kevin Smith) and we have watched them go through life. If this is the final chapter in the Clerks story, these guys go out with a bang.
