clipping. are a trio that produces experimental hip hop music (one member being a producer, one member being a harsh noise artist, and the front man being a rapper). The album is basically a mix of hip hop/rap and harsh noise/power electronics. At first it may sound like a very odd combination but I would say it is definitely and album worth picking up. The harsh noise powerfully backing each track with the deep gritty vocals of the rapper and catchy tracks make this album one of my favourite rap records. It can be very hard for the average rap listener to get into the music do to the tracks being backed by harsh noise (which can be irritating to the ears for many), but I would still recommend at least giving them a try by listening to the album digitally before thinking about purchasing the CD. The CD itself is very nicely packaged in a neat 6 panel digipak case, very pretty to look at. Overall I'd give this record a solid 8 out of 10. Favourite track: body & blood.
