    I remember as a kid, I used to have a set those big colorful toy walky-talkys that could barely communicate between the next room - I went ahead and bought a set of these for my kids and they work MUCH better than what I had as a kid lol it makes their "cops and robbers" and "Hide-n-seek" games alot more immersive. I imagine these would also be very handy at a job-site, while camping, hiking, or during an emergency scenario if the phone-grid were down. Not sure how accurate the 16-mile range is (haven't tested it myself) but I'm sure they would at least work in communicating across town if you live in a small city or out in the country.
