I really like this dash can, it's small, takes up very little room, hides behind the rear view mirror nicely and the video quality is excellent.

My first camera had some kind of design flaw and nothing worked when the memory card was installed. Spent a lot of time on the phone with customer service. I returned it to the store and got a new one which has worked the one time I have used it. I have not used all of the functions yet.

I love this dash cam, it's small you can use up to a 128GB memory card .

It took awhile to get the rather tiny buttons and settings right . Watching a youtube video on the basics of dash cams helped alot. The only perplexing part was viewing the .avi video format on my mac. The solution was to definitely use their usb cable provided to my mac book, and download VLC Handbrake from the app store. Buy a 32 GB micro flash for $10 and you are set . Such things as motion detecting and running on its battery are all settings in options. It is nice to have a camera no bigger than a coffee k cup sitting low in the front windshield. Having some clunky expensive garmin hogging space really defeats the purpose of covert surveillance in the event of some road rage dude or texting fool. Illinois has a law against video recording on the road, but it has not been enforced. Summary, for $100 and some patience, it will run without trouble and you can get the video off the SD card , view it on your computer or even email the video in a beautiful high resolution mp4 format. Cobra has some videos in its support area and of course youtube.

Purchased 3 weeks ago. Camera was easy to install and operation was very intuitive. Camera is very small, but seems to have a quality build. The video is excellent quality. Camera comes with an 8gb micro sd card which should be adequate in most situations. That will record for about 2 hours and then the camera will automatically overwrite the files on the card. Lcd screen is clear and easy to read. It comes with approx. 7' mini usb cable. Unfortunately, this is not long enough if you want to hide the wire by running it along the roof, the A pillar and under the dash. Also, battery only lasts about 5 minutes when not connected. This is too short, 15 minutes would be helpful. But those are my only criticisms. I would definitely buy again.

My first purchase, the power adapter over heated within 30 mins, so I used another power source. After one week the camera stopped working. I returned it to the store (not BestBuy) for an exchange. Within 4 months, it stopped working. Customer service suggest I retune it (at my expense along with “my” usb cable) so they can test. Not worth the trouble for a $99 item. Camera video was good quality when working, not a good camera for continued surveillance. I decided to pay more for better quality and I could not be happier. I purchased another make with features needed for 24hr coverage without fuss.

the image of the camera is very good way better then 840 model but what is the point of a very good image if the camera doesn't start half of the time and the other half that is starts stops randomly or enters in a error mode where it is just beeps twice shows an image on the screen but doesn't record anything and the only way to make it record is resetting by holding the power button until shuts off and press power button again to restart
