I bought the Cobra SPX 5300 today from Bloomington, In Best Buy. I was in the city mode driving to pick my son up and my new detector sounded on K band so I took the chiming serious and slowed down, Then the city police car came in to view. I had the same thing happen when going home. The Cobra sounded on K band in city mode and gave me plenty of time to slow down before the police car came into view. he got a good half of mile ahead of me and it kept sounding..turn him around at that distance and it would lie up to the Cobra name again! ery happy customer.

This thing is killer! Great accuracy and great vol. Not like the old school radars that require you to keep your music down low in order for you to hear the warning sounds coming from the radar. There have been 2 occasions where the splitter feature has bailed me out of what would've been very high speeding fines. Very user friendly, fits nicely on dash & has a firm hold with quality suction cups and firm, well placed brackets

Have no issues with this radar detector. It was pretty easy to set up, instructions were good. While driving with it mounted to the windhield, it does tend to vibrate up and down a lot. Not sure if this effects the sensitivity. It is hard to see the alert leds in full sunlight.

I like it not a bad price and works well. I never had any problems with it. I don't see the point in buying one that is 300 plus dollars

Its A great Radar. Always lets me know when their are cops around radaring (not that I speed), but also tends to go a little crazy around automatic doors.

I have had two other Cobra radar detectors in the past and I can say that they are very good detectors. This new one I just got is also a great detector. The best part it will not break the bank.

very sleek, perfect size. I like that you can turn it up and down and that it just don't blast you out of the car like a lot of them. very happy with my purchase.

Well there were plenty of options to choose from at my local best buy store but I had to go with the 5300 mainly for the price, and well it's done a great job so far ! Highly recommend it if you don't want to spend a lot more money, great product.

This product is very accurate. It does the job and very easy to install

When reading this product's specs on this site they're often incomplete. Only the more expensive version has more complete features shown so when you compare to this one at a bargain price, you'll think for example it doesn't cover the X and Ka superwide band so I'm sharing the specs I found on the manufacturer's website since Bestbuy hardly ever bothers giving the customers complete information. This encourages buyer's remorse.

Helped me avoid many speed traps only issue i have with it is sometimes it alerts for a train approaching even though theres no train around

Good dependable radar detector easy to set up and read.

This device was easy to use and worked well. I have used it in the city and on the highway. The different settings make driving easier for either city or highway.

I own 2 of these and both work very well. I purchased this one to go in the car based off my other radar working very good and prevented me from getting a ticket and great to have when the train tracks do not have warning rails that come down.

Works really well for me and has pretty good range on it.

For the price it's a pretty good radar detector. It has decent range and has minimal false detections.

Definitely not 100% accuracy but helpful. Best advice is don't speed.

It turns on fast, it anounces the radar loud, and then it turns down the noise, so you know there is still a radar. It sees the radars beetwen cars.

Good detector so far we have used in on the road and in the city and good range

Already saved me from a few tickets highly recommend
