Good camera, great speed detection and maps. Free installation was great. Rear camera has a nice wide angle. The only thing I don’t like is the screen is too small. If you have CarPlay this is not an issue it has a remote view option. I don't have a CarPlay stereo so I am thinking about adding one

Good quality camera. Love the fact I can directly connect to my phone to view and save video. However, app needs work and dashcam to phone connection can be wonky from time to time.

Simply - save your money! Look elsewhere, it’s unfortunate as my family got this for me for a Christmas present. Yes, video quality is great but the connection to pull a video is awful via WiFi. You can always pull the SD card if it’s ultimately needed and downloaded the files the old fashioned way but with today’s tech - it needs to be better. The Surveillance is only good if you are connected under WiFi… kinda useless unless your car has a built in hotspot - more of a gimmick. Quality is nice, I did purchase the hardwire kit that made it somewhat nice, fun to run behind all the a-piller frame but ultimately huge let down on the ease of connect-ability - I should be able to connect to the device from my garage under the same WiFi and it simply doesn’t. Look elsewhere!

Easy to set up. The Perfect size for vehicle. Absolutely love the features and ability to have recorded video if an accident occurs. Worth the price!

Easy to set up, worked out of the box with no issues. Updates were easy and no drama. Good picture and cable lengths were good for my truck installation.

I just got the Cobra SC 250R 4K dashcam, and it's been awesome so far! The 4K video quality is super clear, making it easy to catch all the details on the road. Setting it up was a breeze, and the wide-angle lens covers a lot of the view ahead. I love the built-in Wi-Fi, which lets me quickly transfer videos to my phone without any hassle. The night vision is surprisingly good, and the motion detection feature is a nice bonus for parking. Overall, it's a solid dashcam that gives me peace of mind while driving. Highly recommend it!

I have the SC-250R with front and rear camera. Even though the camera quickly shows a connection when the app is opened, when I try to view the saved files it will repeatedly fail to connect. Then if I do get it to connect it takes several minutes for the files to be viewable. Also, the app has “trip clips” enabled as a default, which for some reason disables the recording function for the front camera. Just like the firmware/app could be a lot better

Works as advertised. The camera is easy to install and set up. The drive smarter app is 100% needed for viewing any recordings. I got the ODB 2 port to hardwire and it works well. Turns on when you turn on the car, as well as off.

Works great, easy install. Provides clear 4k video. I like that I can remove from bracket when parked long term in public areas. I choose to use the cigaret plug for convenience. I would recommend.

Excellent camera, it points the front of the car and the back of the car, the only disadvantage is not active unless you turn on the car and it lacks of inside the car view. App works well.

The camera functions are great. The picture quality is good. It was easy to install. The Drive Smarter app / features are not that great. It's pretty good for the price though. I actually went back and purchased a second one for my other car.

Bought for a road trip and use everyday now. Need to get the kit to wire to keyed power source, using unkeyed power port resulted in vehicle batteries (2 on diesel SUV) being drawn down too far to start overnight. Installation is pretty eas.

This dash cam is very easy to use. I like that it is low profile and doesn't interfere with my driving.

This is without question one of the worst pieces of parts bin hardware ever built. Whoever designed this, never had to install one of these. The Drive Smarter app, should have a far different less kind name, it isn't smart by any stretch of the imagination. However, the front camera is good, high quality for daytime use, forget about night time. The Good Video is incredibly sharp. In daylight, I can grab a screen shot from the camera and can actually read the license plate on the car in front, maybe 20 or 30 feet in front of my car. That's remarkable. At night, everything is mostly a blurry mess. I can barely identify the make and color of car. Rear view is just there, relatively low resolution. The Really Bad Installing this thing is the worst thing I have ever seen. The USB-C connector cable is 90 degrees, and plugs into the side of the camera. Installed the logical way, the connector covers the hole for the rear camera. Even installed upward facing, the rear camera it is a super snug fit. The power cable for the front camera couldn't be a worse design. The cable has a massive 12V adapter plug permanently attached to it. Try fishing that through your car's interior and dash. They needed to use something simple, a double ended USB-C cable. And then beyond stupid, the 12V adapter has a rectangular USB port (USB-A). Come on, you're selling a device with USB-C on it, and you push a ridiculous USB rectangular adapter? The temporary static cling sticker is totally worthless - the camera falls off within 1 minute. The slide mount has to be the worst design ever. I accidentally mounted this close to left (driver) side of my rearview mirror mount. Guess what, I couldn't slide the camera off, it will only slide to the right. How incredibly awful is that? The idea is to mount this on the driver side (left side of the car in the US), and close to the mirror is the least distracting place. That slide should slide to the left, away from the mirror. It took a long time to loosen the adhesive to remove and remount this thing. If the tight slide could go either direction that would work perfectly. The Worst Design In The World The rear camera. This is the biggest piece of badly designed equipment ever. The wire to connect to the front camera on one end has a 90 degree 3.5mm jack, like wired headphones or old iPhones had on them. The other end is MINI USB. Seriously, in 2024, they used a connector that hasn't been used in 10 years. You know Cobra, why not use modular phone cable, it would be easier to extend. It is impossible to make that cable longer. And you have to route it from the rearview mirror all the way back to the rear window (around doors, headliner, window seals, and other impossible areas). If you come up short, well too bad the rear camera can't be mounted. The Not So Smart Drive Smarter App This is truly a masterpiece in overselling and a badly made app. All the pictures of this camera show a "Police Spotted" red screen. That's really disingenuous. That message relies on other users reporting police, construction, or other problems. The user base for this app is pitiful, and you should never count on that warning. The navigation is absolutely the worst - yes you can route in the app on your phone. The camera then becomes hostage to this horrible navigation software. The tiny camera screen that is hard to read becomes turn directions. No map, no guidance, just a big arrow with a direction, and tiny letters with distance and street name. You have to look at the phone to see the map. And if you close your phone, the screen on the camera freezes (I saw turn in 10 miles for about 30 miles). And because the 12V adapter has a rectangular USB port, I couldn't plug in my phone. And, if I've understood correctly - the camera doesn't record video while you use navigation (that's a massive miss). Yes the app allows you to download video to your phone. But even that interface is horrible. There is absolutely nothing smart about this app. And because the type is so tiny, you don't drive smarter or less distracted, you drive way worse and more distracted trying to read the screen. Great front camera. Horrible rear camera. A product that is a pain to install. An app that is bad at best. All add up to, if all you want is a good front camera, this is your device.

Really great dash cam, superb clarity, easy to connect. It actually connects via wifi automatically when you try to access the video library on app. You don't have to manually connect it to the wifi. Just connect via bluetooth and open drive smart app that's it. Easy and fast. Tiltable camera is even better than fixed so you can easily adjust view.

Cobra makes Excellent dash cams.Literally saved me when someone hit my truck.The camera picked it up a automatically started recording.

Highly recommended. Car camera with front and rear camera. Clean screen. With a large memory card. With many lens options for good vision and good image recording. I also added a camera to the car. Now I have three cameras. Front, rear and interior. Installation through Best Buy. Good professional installation with a lifetime warranty. It is highly recommended to install a camera today, as there are many road accidents.

The 4K images produced by the front and rear cameras are of excellent quality. Both cameras run constantly and create files that are stored in a 32 GB memory card. Once the card is full, the camera begins to save images over the old ones. The recovery of video is fairly easy, however the firmware needs improvements to increase the easy of recovery. I will update the firmware to see if it helps.
