    Good MP3

I needed an economical MP3 for walking and the gym because I have an MP3 in my car, at home, access to one at work. But I needed one for work-outs, shopping, etc. This little Coby fit the bill. It was pretty easy to set up, download tunes and take with me anywhere I wanted to go. It also has a radio tuner which is fantastic to listen to your favorite music stations or news. It does not have a load of features, just the ones you need for the activities I mentioned. If you are new to MP3's, need an extra one for your 'active' lifestyle or want to get a gift for a child (maybe a teen, but teens want the latest thing and it may not have all the room they need to load tons of tunes), need an 'everyday MP3, I strongly suggest you buy this one. I immediately got a new headset from the one it comes with because my new headset gives me extra length to place this in my pockets/purse. It does not have a clip, so plan accordingly. Economical, great little 'anytime' gift (or Xmas stocking stuffer!).

Great buy, but tricky to figure out!

I bought this MP3 player for my little brother who is eight years old for Christmas. I was not spending the money for an iPod and he really wanted to listen to music, so I thought getting a little one would be a great idea. This is a very nice MP3 player, the price is what appealed to me the most. The ONLY thing that I did not like is it's a little tricky on how to figure out how to use. it's not as simple as I thought it would be, so I had to teach my little brother how to use it to make sure he got use out of it. He's got the hang of it now, but manual wasn't a great help so over time he's gotten used to it. Awesome buy for a great price for kid! Even came with a little pouch case to protect it!

This disappointing purchase was suppose to be one of the Christmas gifts for my wife - she needed a simple small MP3 player to use in a car and in a gym. After getting this device and trying it out, I ended up giving her my old Sansa clip. Not because I liked the new player so much - I was embarrassed to give such a bad gift. Can't really speak for durability - I guess it's as durable as any other MP3 player, I hadn't dropped it in a bowl of cereal yet (I did wash and dry my Sansa though - it works great still). But as far as other characteristics go... oh my. Frustratingly confusing interface - nameless buttons with unclear functions, and you have to Refresh the database EVERY SINGLE time after turning it on in order to get to song list. The included software is absolutely useless - it resets all settings every time you exit, I wasn't able to create any playlists. When you transfer music, the annoying message keeps popping up saying that "certain features cannot be transferred". It cannot read Cyrillic font (which isn't a big deal for most users, but is very frustrating for me, and again, Sansa reads it like nobody's business). I thinks that's enough to make you want to pay a couple bucks more (not much more really) and buy a different product.
