Works, but remote and sound annoying

I purchased two of these TVs. One is fine. The other was initially defective and I returned it to Best Buy. It turned itself off. The other has been fine during the first few days of operation. However, the remote IR eye on the TV does not work well. The IR viewing angle is odd and very limited on both TVs of this model, so I suspect a design flaw. The IR remote only works from level to above the TV, not below and is not very sensitive. The defective TV I replaced with a different brand of TV.
Sound is not great. Tinny sound to me. Picture is fine.
Low price with decent picture, but annoying remote and sound.
TiVo remote code for LG worked for this Coby.

i ordered tv it arrived earlier than scheduled i hooked it up in fifteen minutes and it works awesome thank you thank you best buy great picture great sound great tv great price

BOUGHT THIS ITEM AND GOT IT VERY QUICKLY IN THE MAIL. WHEN I WENT TO SET IT UP LATER IN THE DAY IT DIDNT WORK. WOULDNT TURN ON THROUGH THE REMOTE OR TV POWER BUTTON. I AM SO TICKED. DID A LOT OF RESEARCHING AND WAS INSURED THAT BEST BUY COULDNT SELL THE TV UNLESS THE MANUFACTURER HAD FIXED THE ISSUE. WHATEVER. NOW I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF RETURNING/EXCHANGING IT. NOT A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE, AND I HAD BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER...

Bad Everything

Got this tv and was excited. Got the tv and set it all up and it worked great. I am currently in the process of adoption so it was the tv for my new child. So no one used the tv since the first day. I tried it out the other day and it doesnt turn on, the power button or the remote. I am a calm person so I called Best Buy to see about the return and was told I was two days over my return time. They told me to call Coby and talk to them. Coby wanted me to ship it both ways on my dollar, I wasnt up for that so I asked a manager. Turns out Coby doesnt honor refurbished tvs and they told me to call Best Buy back and work something out with them. Soooo I called them back and apparently they have a parts and repair policy that the other Best Buy workers failed to tell me about. So we will see how it goes

Good TV for the money

I found this TV to be a great deal for the money. It was all the basic features you need and the 32" screen is pretty awesome. The only problem I had was that the TV came with a defective remote. I had to buy a universal one to use but it is not completely compatible which is annoying at times.
