If youre into strategy games this is a must buy. Its a bit like xcom in the sense that you need to discover where the aliens are hiding. It's a lot of fun and I hope Nintendo makes a sequel.

I enjoy a good turn-based strategy game, and Codename STEAM is no exception. The plot is pretty amusing. All of the STEAM agents are character from American folklore commanded by President Lincoln. Agents are sent out to fight alien bad guys. The gameplay is a hybrid of turn-based and third-person shooter. You move and position your STEAM agents on a grid. When you engage in combat, you aim and shoot at your enemies. It's nice that it's a little more involved than just moving your guys around and commanding them to attack. The latest patch also added the ability to fast-forward through the enemy's turns which helps speed the game up nicely.

I love strategy games. This game is a fun game with a decent story. Weapons are upgradable and you can choose which characters help you with each mission. The only downside is waiting 30-45 seconds for enemy to make moves and it can become boring if you like to play hours at a time.

This game is pretty fun. I passed it up for a long time but Best Buy has it for 2.99 on cyber Monday and its hard to say no then. It has turn based grid style combat. Kind of like fire emblem but from the view on the battlefield instead of overhead.

Takes a little time to get into, but it is totally worth it. Also, using Marth and Ike amiibos add a new layer to the game. Recommended to all.

The art is really cool and the combat is fun. My only issue is the length of enemy turns, but this has been fixed in a recent patch.

This game received a lot of press at release. However it only reviewed as an "average" title. Many people skipped it because of this. It's worth a playthrough now. Especially at the price of $3 I paid on Cyber Monday.

Nothing else can really come close to describing what this plays like, look up other games by this publisher and then forget them because this plays completely differently. Don't be fooled by the box art, this game is challenging.

I wouldn't go out of my way to make sure anyone played this but it is certainly not a bad title. It's system is fun and the historical aspect of the game is fun and a cool theme for the game to play by.

This game is surprisingly fun to play. The real quality is in the gameplay though. Through turned based combat system, 12 unique characters you must decide between 4 of them per mission. Every mission has different enemies & objectives. So you will need to use the strength's of different characters at different times to be an effective squad. As far as content goes the game is long im nearly 24hrs in the game and haven't beaten it.

I love how crazy this game is Lincoln fighting aliens in a real time strategy game and the art direction is great but I hated how long the AI took during their turns it dragged the game down

Despite the cartoonish premise and art design, don't kid yourself. This game can be difficult at times. A worthy diversion for someone who enjoys the genre, but not a must-have title.

It's not perfect, but at this price an underrated 3DS gem is a S.T.E.A.L.

This is actually not a bad tactic game, in fact it feels similar to Valkyrie chronicles in some way. Not sure why it dropped to such a low level (got it at $2.50)

Nintendo is known for cycling through their IPs constantly, but every now and then, they make a new IP. This is one of them. It's a great game for turn based gamers. I recommend it.

If you are into turn-based strategy games this is not a bad pickup for the 3DS. However, something like SteamWorld Heist or Fire Emblem are a better purchase.

This is a pretty fun game which is not surprising since its made by the same people who make fire emblem. I’m not sure why some reviews say it’s not fun.
