    A Great Return to Form

As any fan of Community knows season 4 was the first, and thankfully only, season without the mad genius, Dan Harmon. While season 4 had some good moments, it did not have the consistent excellence that previous seasons possessed. Season 5 saw the triumphant, and rather unprecedented return of Dan Harmon as showrunner, and with him the high level of quality that is expected of the show. What makes Dan Harmon so great is his ability to piece together the various elements of the show into a coherent and effective bit of storytelling. From the meta-humor to the heartfelt moments, no one else seemed to weave together the strands of Community as well as Dan Harmon. Aside from Dan Harmon, this season saw excellent performances from the regular cast, minus Chevy Chase, as well as newcomer Jonathan Banks, and the also returning John Oliver. As far as extras are concerned, there is one standout that must be noted. The behind the scenes documentary, Advanced Television Production, provides an especially enlightening look into just how vital Dan Harmon is to the creation of the show. All in all, this is a great package for Community fans, and now lets look forward to season 6 and the movie.

If you have been living in a hole or haven't touched a computer with internet, then you probably haven't seen or heard of Community and it's inability to stay dead after multiple attempts by it's former network NBC. The 5th season is a the return of original show runner and creator, Dan Harmon and it certainly undoes a lot of what the writers did to the show in season 4 during Harmon's absence. If you're looking for a new comedy to watch that is unique to it's own in years and certainly doesn't mind winking at itself, Community is the show for you!

Season Five gets the show back on track

Blame it on the gas leak... The fourth season of Community was tolerable based on the quality of the actors on the show, but the vision was lost without show runner Dan Harmon. The fifth season is maybe the most ridiculous yet, and somehow each episode comes together with a more underlying message that wasn't as communicated as well in the season prior. There's not many episodes this season, but they make them count and have you looking forward to the next.

The gang at Greendale is back in season 5, and just as funny as ever. This season make's up for the lackluster season 4. A D&D episode, and epic game of hot lava, this show is a nerd's dream. This show always has me laughing, but it also has great emotional side to it. I found myself teary eyed in a few episodes. I'm so glad yahoo picked this show up for another season. #sixseasonsandamovie

I loved this show although season four was somewhat lacking this season makes up for it. Sadly this season 2 cast members left the show and NBC Decided to cancel the series once and for all. I like that the season finale feels like a series finale. Despite that, Yahoo has given Community a Sixth season which will premiere March 17th, so I reccommend everyone catch up before then.

    Six Seasons & a Movie!

Community remains one of my all-time favorite TV shows, and probably one of the best comedies around. Season 5 saw the unfortunate departure of Troy Barnes (Donald Glover), definitely a blow to the show, but never really missed a step, adding the great Jonathan Banks to the cast and bringing back John Oliver to a more prominent role. My only complaint? Too short!

Community is a show that's criminally underrated, but it keeps going on. After a very sub-par season 4 (the creator/showrunner was fired by NBC), season 5 brings the show back to comedic gold thanks to the return of said creator. If you lost faith in this sitcom because of how bad season 4 was, do yourself a favor and get season 5. The show you loved is back.

A Strong Return after the Gas Leak

With Dan Harmon back, the show returned to a lot of what made previous seasons great (although, the fourth had it's charms). With cast shifting, the season did feel different despite Harmon's return, but the jokes are great, the cast still feel like old friends, and the heart is still present. Plus, it was one more step in reaching the hashtag prophecy!

This season marked the return of Dan Harmon after a single season absence and it was the absolute best thing that could've happened after season 4 disappointed the fanbase. Make sure to get this season. (I still recommend season 4 as there were some decent episodes, but they do feel different from the Harmon led seasons)

    Harmon back in the saddle!

The fourth season – without creator Dan Harmon at the helm – was filled with missteps. With Harmon back for the fifth (and what would have been final) season, he bring Community back to the off-beat standard it established. There were some growing pains though, transitioning from the absence of Troy (Donald Glover) and Pierce (Chevy Chase) was a bit rough. While the show was cancelled by NBC, it maintains enough of a following that it's been picked-up by Yahoo! with a sixth season in the works.

After the dreaded Gas Leak Year, it was fair to be wary about Community never again finding its way. But with plenty of high-concept theme episodes and near-seamless changes to the roster of the study group, the show stays as strong as ever. My only complaint? Thirteen episodes go by too fast!

I was very happy when Chevy Chase left the show, but even happier when Dan Harmon returned. The show is back to its roots and I felt this was a nice return to normal after a weak season 4, the only problem with this season was Donald Glover leaving the show :( no more Troy is very upsetting!

Community is a great TV series that is clever and fun. It has lots of cultural references but at the same time is still funny even if you don't pick up on every single one. With the return of Dan Harmon, the creator, the 5th season does not disappoint.

After straying away from its roots in season 4, Community has returned to its past glory. Season 4 felt like a "normal" sitcom show, something Community avoided at all costs seasons 1-3. This fifth season installment helps return back to the good days.

This is kind of the last season? It was different, I was sad to see some beloved characters go but the season remained fun to watch for Community fans. Community has it's niche and if you are buying this DVD you probably already know how awesome it is.

Community Season 5 is a big improvement over season 4. Dan Harmon is back at the helm and what made seasons 1-3 so good is back in season 5. The only down side to the season is that Donald Glover leaves the show after just a few episodes.

Community is a funny and innovative series that was moved around too often on the TV schedule, preventing it from gaining a mass following. However, it is well worth the money to purchase and enjoy at home with friends.

If you're a fan of the series, this is worth viewing. Not as funny as previous seasons, but more outlandish. They have a few more episodes that try to capture the zany hilarity of the paintball episode, but bending reality like that only really works well the first time.

There's nothing else to say other than it's a great show that more people should have watched. Thankfully, this isn't the last season, but even if it had been, it still would've been a strong one to go out on.
