It works great! I needed something with a long range for where I park at work and this is it!!

Reliable auto start. Have one on a 22 Wrangler as well as a 24 Compass, and both work flawlessly. Range is fair for the price. Caught both on sale different years around the holidays, but would be a good buy at full price.

I bought it as a gift for my mom and she loved it cause we get get snow and we have to go outside and scrape the windows and start it but now for both of us we can remote start our cars a head of time it’s amazing

I purchased this and the alarm add on kit for my truck. I had been a fan of Viper alarms for many years but there was an issue with Viper remote start/alarms not engaging the compressor in my Nissan truck when remote starting. In other words, with certain vehicle makes, the remote starter is unable to engage the compressor so when you remote start your vehicle to try and cool it off before you get in, all it does is blow warm air. Compustar's do not have this bug and it works great in my truck. The first unit I had installed in my truck started flaking out after about a month of having it so I took it back in to BestBuy and they installed a new one which is working great now. Highly recommend purchasing a two way remote to use with this so you get additional features. Also make sure you have BestBuy install this so your item and installed are warrantied for as long as you have it. The install was flawless.

This remote starter works just fine in my Ford Transit 350. It's very standard. No super-amazing options (I REALLY wish it was 2-way), but that's ok. It fits a price point and I don't feel even a little disappointed with the money I spent. This came with free install at the time I bought it, not sure if that's a regular thing or not, but it was for me. I had purchased one for my wife for her birthday, then got myself one 6 months later. It's been a solid product with fairly good range and consistency.

Makes life much better , hot or cold weather. Has a good distance on the remote start .and safe as when you open the doors the vehicle shuts of, but stays locked till you unlock it with the Factory fob.

Well if you want the best remote starter with the best install on that remote starter, BEST BUY IS THE ONLY OPTION! This is the 3 rd remote starter (same one) and the 3rd time I’ve had BEST BUY DO IT FOR ME! Love this pick for the remote start and Best Buy to install it which is included in the purchase that Best Buy installs it! Tho the only problem I have with the transaction it doesn’t state you have to purchase the wiring harness and it should be included in the transaction when you buy the remote starter! It adds great value to your car you HAVE AND VALUE in it and NOT TO MENTION WE LIVE IN OHIO! Have your car warm before u get in it! Love love love remote starter and BEST BUY

We bought this remote start for our daughter who is in college. She absolutely loves standing inside our house or campus building to start her car to get it warmed up on cold winter days. On hot sunny days, she enjoys getting into an air conditioned car. Very easy to use and not one issue after several months of use.

Husband loves it - wish we bought it sooner. They installed it quickly, it was affordable and works great. Received 2 fobs. The only bummer was we had to wait 3 weeks or so for an appointment, so plan ahead.

We had this remote starter installed on 12/24/25. Prior to the free install, we received a call from a Best Buy tech confirming the date and time and giving us details about the process. He ordered other (free) parts needed for the install. The actual installation took about 2.5 hours. So far, the system is working properly. The package came with 2 key fobs, so this was great since my car only came with one. So now, we have additional key fobs to use for others in my family. Overall, this was definitely a great upgrade to my car.

I purchased this "Compustar" remote starter and had it installed the following week by a Best Buy technician. So far so good, no problems or issues with this starter yet, but it has only been a weeks. The last one I purchased through Best Buy was about 14 years ago. It was not a "Compustar" Brand it was a "Viper" Brand. They told me (in the store) that they now recommend the Compustar brand because they were having issues with the Viper brand. I told the salesman that I was surprised to hear this because I NEVER had any issues or problems with the Viper (for about 14 years of using it)! I sold that vehicle with the 2 remotes and they still worked for the buyer. I had to purchase this new remote starter for my new car. I only hope this one lasts as long as my last one!!!

I bought this device and it was shipped to the store that would install it. When I went there, they told me the installation would only take thirty minutes, but there was a mistake during the installation of the first device, which is understandable, and it delayed me by another twenty minutes. However, the technical staff was very professional and dealt with customers in a wonderful way, as they apologized for what happened. In addition, they gave me a very good discount, which made me overlook the time lost.

Great remote start. Bought one years ago for my wife’s car. My son drives that now so got another one for her new car.

Best car starter we’ve own for a very affordable price and free installation. Was going to pay $450 to $500 for a car starter from another local vendor. Then I saw this highly rated Compustar 1-way remote starter at Best Buy for $323.00 including tax and free installation. The Vestal, NY Geek Squad installed it in a little over an hour. It works great. Would recommend to others.

First- don’t order online! Don’t order through a staff member who doesn’t install them… it was a down right MESS for me to get everything fixed before even getting the appointment… Go in to the store, and have an installer assist you. No matter what anyone says! With that said, this is a good remote starter. It’s not perfect, there’s no telling if the car turned on or not, and it sometimes requires nothing in its way, but I got this to start the car on winter mornings so it serves its purpose. When at a store, and hitting remote start, sometimes it works and sometimes not. I would recommend whatever the installer suggests, for me it was this one, as they’re the ones that have to fix it if there’s issues, so they’ll suggest what’s going to be less trips back lol.
