First I made sure that this remote start would work in my car. I have a VW Passat 2007. When I called to set up an appointment for the installation the guy asked and made sure that it was the right one as well. once installed, my vent controls weren’t working at all, ad only had one setting and it wasn’t heating up and such. So I called the installer guys back and said my vent control want’s working and they must have switched something around when instating the remote start. they told be to come back and they would fix it. They fixed it literally in like 5 minutes, a loose fuse or something they said. I’ve used the remote start here in MN with more snow storms in April and it works great! The two way confirmation remote is nice so I know that my car is on even in our detached garage. It’s reassuring and very helpful since I am a new mom with a 2 month old, so I know that the car will be nice and warm after hauling him around from the house and to and from the destination. Plus once summer comes around, I’ll set it for the AC to be on, so it’s not a blazing hot car. I would totally recommend this for anyone with a VW, no matter where you live! once you do the remote start, my car's hazard lights go until I put in my key. just so you know, my co-workers always tell me "your lights are going off, though you should know." "yes, I know it's my remote start"

The distance is great and it works through multiple walls of my office building. The feedback notification is a must to ensure the car started; however, the beeps are quite loud. I have a Toyota, so the remote disables my key fob. The installer told me that is a Toyota security thing and cannot be avoided. Because of this, I can't open the trunk from outside the car. The remote will unlock the doors but won't control the trunk. That is my only issue and may not happen with other vehicles.

This is the perfect remote start kit. We have this installed by Isaac on each of our vehicles. They are so easy to use and have so many valuable features. The two way remote starter showing the vehicle has started is so helpful.

I have installed this extra 2 way remote along with Compustar remote start kit on my 2011 Honda Accord. The remote enhances the range greatly, though it only works if the car is in the line of sight. i.e. it does not work through walls. The 2 way feedback is great to elbow if the car actually started, especially because the remote does not work through walls. It is a great convenience, especially in the winters.

Works like a charm and just curious how to do an upgrade for extended distances for starting. I live in Chicago and it seems that if my car is more than 1 city block away, it cant reach it to start it. Only Downside is when they gave me my new key fob to replace my original fob from the dealer, now I have no trunk release button. And the guys who Installed it at best buy in Evanston also told me they ran out of the warranty cards and they would mail me my paperwork, but I never received any such documents in the mail. But device overall serves its purpose as intended.

The remote start was installed by a best buy technician and he did a great job. It works perfect and at a good distance.

The range is enough and the two ways allows you to check if your car is on.

The guys that sold me the product had no knowledge whatsoever. Friendly and kind but no knowledge of any remote starters. The install guys were 5 star friendly and above and beyond knowledge...

This is the best! My car starts using the remote in places cell phones don’t work well in. It’s a simple little one button remote that works up to 3000 feet.

Have not had time to check range. Failed to read fine print that stated only one of the remotes is 2 way, the other is one way and if this kit is installed the one way remote included with the base kit will not work. Not a big deal, the wife gets the 2 way remote.

I am so glad I chose a Compustar Remote for my car. It’s so nice to get into a warm car on cold days and saves me time to have it warming up while I’m getting ready.

This remote kit extended my present remote start range from 1000 ft to 3000 ft. Installation was a breeze. Geek Squad Leo, of the Wheaton, MD, store did an excellent job!

I definitely recommend getting a 2-way remote for your system. I like having that confirmation that my car started.

Nice coverage but doesn’t work if there are strong wall between your car and you.

Complete autostart system with nice features. Installation only took about 90 minutes. Works well.

I love the remote start itself! It is nice to be able to get into a warm car on these cold winter mornings. What I do NOT love is that they removed the button that opens the hatchback on my RX350 without letting me know they were doing so. I now have to have my keys out of the ignition in order to open the back of my car which sucks! I guess it is a trade off??

Gives me the upgrade I needed and is easy to use. A very useful upgrade.

I love my remote start. Works perfectly and only took an hour to install!
