Sam Elliott "is" Conagher!

"Conagher" is a tough, often sad, and yet uplifting film. Sam Elliott plays the main character--Conagher--a true, honest and rugged cowhand, aged and hardened by a life on the prairie. Katherine Ross shines as his unspoken love interest and gives her usual soft yet iron willed performance. While "Conagher" is first and foremost a cowboy movie, it is also a love story and a morality tale. Realistic photography, beautifully directed and superbly cast, "Conagher" is as good as it gets for entertainment on a cold Sunday afternoon with a warm mug of coffee.

Acting in films was an excellent choice. This film is one of many in his achievements. You'll be wishing that you were riding with him in what must be done.
