The product arrived and is defected—no steam was produced. It took Conair more than 3 days to get back to me after informing them about the defected product. When they did, I was asked to call and had to wait over 20 mins for their customer rep to advise me that I had to PAY for the shipping/handling fees to return their defect to their facility, AND to have the new item shipped to me. At this day and age, I find this process pathetically antiquated and not serving the interests of the customers. Conair definitely has to review their limited warranty terms and take FULL responsibility for their products, especially when they are defected items. It could be as simple as 1) being able to resolve this quickly over email; and 2) send their customers a pre-paid return mailing slip to ease the inconvenience of having to repackage their defected product back to them. I am hoping that the replacement will in the least arrive in proper condition and will live up to the reviews here.
