Mr. Lucio Fulci is one of my personal favorite Italian filmmakers of all time. His best films fall in the horror (or giallo) genre, so it was interesting to see him tackle the sword and sorcery genre that became so popular in the early 80's thanks to a little known dude by the name of Conan.
Too bad the film wasn't a bit better. Those expecting the over-the-top gore of Fulci's other films will feel a bit jaded. Unfortunately, the whole film looks like it was filmed through a fog machine dialed up to 11. Blue Underground, bless their hearts, did their best with the restoration to make the picture clearer...with mixed results (I blame the cinematographer, not them!).
For Fulci completist only.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

A weird Italian Mexican sword and sorcery epic where it looks like the hero is on some kind of journey(?) to do something(?), it's never explained and quickly forgotten, as he teams with another to fight wolf men, zombies, a cucumber demon, and a tripping sorceress with a snake. A fun movie to watch and a definite gem for collectors.
