All that said, well worth the effort and wait time. John Mayer is one of the preeminent and talented guitarists of our day and this LP showcases some of his more popular work in an audiophile level studio recording on Vinyl. Though it is not the "lossless" quality that some "audiophiles" exclusively choose, the warmth and depth of vinyl sound is unmatched and this album is the one "true" way to listen to John Mayer's inimitable guitar playing.

I'm not going to rate the musical content here. You likely enjoy John Mayer, and this record if you are reading reviews. You can't go wrong with Continuum. The weight of the discs themselves (which there are 2) are not marked as 180 gram, but feel substantial. The center hole and edges were finished nicely with no snags of burrs. I've seen other reviews stating that one of the 4 sides had issues. Not here. Dynamic range was really wide with attention paid in the mid and lower treb range to bring out the guitars. I'm a guitar player. I can honestly say that this may be one of the first albums where I could truly tell when John used one amp over another. The solos really stand out!
Do yourself a huge favor and listen once through speakers and once through headphones.
If you are a Mayer fan, this is a no brainer.

This is a great album -- the first I've purchased by John Mayer - I'd heard and seen him play, and was happy to see his work in vinyl! The album itself is very well produced and of high quality.
